It&rsquo;s encouraging lynching,&rdquo; Forbes said Wednesday on Fox Business News&rsquo; &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/news\/politics\/steve-forbes-scorches-elizabeth-warren-over-ceo-murder-comments-shows-moral-rot-of-the-left\/vi-AA1vHqze\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Bottom Line<\/a>.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Posters in New York, &lsquo;wanted&rsquo; posters for company executives. What is that? That&rsquo;s an invitation to murder. And these people who put those posters up? She should be also prosecuted. Inciting violence.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>What makes it worse was that Warren had clearly thought out the answer. She gave essentially the same response in an interview with the liberal news outlet <a href=\"https:\/\/www.huffpost.com\/entry\/warren-sanders-brian-thompson-health-care_n_6758bc0fe4b063b52a9a524b\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HuffPost<\/a> on Tuesday, when she criticized what she called the &ldquo;vile practices&rdquo; of insurance companies.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Violence is never the answer, but people can be pushed only so far,&rdquo; Warren said.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This is a warning that if you push people hard enough, they lose faith in the ability of their government to make change, lose faith in the ability of the people who are providing the health care to make change, and start to take matters into their own hands in ways that will ultimately be a threat to everyone.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>So, if Americans &ldquo;post faith in the ability of their government to make change&rdquo; &mdash; the kind of change leftists demand, of course &mdash; murders in the streets are only to be expected.<\/p>\n<p>One commenter wrote on social media, &ldquo;Elizabeth Warren should be impeached and ejected from the U.S. Senate.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">Elizabeth Warren should be impeached and ejected from the US Senate <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/6bqk37AEfG\">pic.twitter.com\/6bqk37AEfG<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; PhotographicFloridian (@JackLinFLL) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/JackLinFLL\/status\/1866946964073615419?\">December 11, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>That&rsquo;s not likely to happen.<\/p>\n<p>No senator or congressman has been impeached since the earliest days of the Republic, when Tennessee Sen. William Blount faced a trial but, according to Cornell University&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.law.cornell.edu\/constitution-conan\/article-2\/section-4\/offices-eligible-for-impeachment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Legal Information Institute<\/a>, &ldquo;the Senate concluded that Senator Blount was not a civil officer subject to impeachment and voted to dismiss the articles because that body lacked jurisdiction over the matter.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Still, Warren felt the public pressure and issued a statement trying to clear herself.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Violence is never the answer. Period,&rdquo; she said in a statement to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.huffpost.com\/entry\/elizabeth-warren-brian-thompson_n_6759e3c8e4b0518821f1ff9c\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">HuffPost<\/a> amid the hullabaloo Wednesday.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I should have been much clearer that there is never a justification for murder.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The problem for Warren is that she&rsquo;d already said the opposite &mdash; twice.<\/p>\n<p>She might think she didn&rsquo;t provide a moral justification for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/suspect-ceo-killing-identified-ivy-league-graduate-penned-chilling-manifesto\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">the killing<\/a>, but she did provide an intellectual context for when such a killing would take place.<\/p>\n<p>In other words, her disagreement with the assassination was basically a question of tactics for people who have been &ldquo;pushed too far.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>But the reality is, resorting to violence &mdash; deadly violence &mdash; is a standard response to the left in American politics and has been for decades &mdash; calling it &ldquo;mostly peaceful,&rdquo; as the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/cnn-mocked-labeling-kenosha-mostly-peaceful-footage-showed-opposite\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"><a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/breaking-73976-ballots-released-by-maricopa-county-56-1-for-donald-trump\/\" title=\"BREAKING: 73,976 Ballots Released By Maricopa County \u2014 56.1% FOR DONALD TRUMP\">liberal media<\/a> did<\/a> for the George Floyd riots, doesn&rsquo;t change that.<\/p>\n<p>Providing an argument explaining it, as Warren did, won&rsquo;t fix it either.<\/p>\n<p>The fact is, Warren&rsquo;s clarification clarified nothing, because her real meaning was clear: Violence is never the answer, <em>but sometimes it is<\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>She should have stopped before &ldquo;but,&rdquo; but she couldn&rsquo;t.
