This policy was‌ passed with a 3-1 vote, with dissenting Supervisor Jim Desmond expressing concern⁤ that ⁣it goes beyond⁢ existing sanctuary ‌laws. He stated ⁣that the policy would shield violent criminals from legal consequences, as law enforcement would⁤ be prohibited from notifying ICE⁢ even if these individuals were in ⁤custody.

The move ⁣has been ⁤met with backlash, particularly ⁤from Sheriff Kelly A. The Sheriff, as an independently elected official, sets the policy for the Sheriff’s Office. Those people may be safely ignored or mocked.

On the other hand, deranged leftists really do prefer criminal aliens to law-abiding Americans.

In fact, as they have shown this week, deranged leftists celebrate murderers while condemning actual heroes.

If they could, and if it meant acquiring power, those leftists would create an army of illegals. Then, they might even force Americans to house those illegals. Deranged leftists, after all, care nothing for the First or Second Amendment, so why would they care about the Third?

In sum, the new “super” sanctuary policy probably amounts to mere virtue signaling.

That does not mean, however, that we should underestimate the hostile and deranged leftists who support such things.

       * Name

       *

      * Message

* All fields are required.

Success!

       function firefly_sc() { if( typeof window.captchaPublicKey==typeof undefined ){ console.error('window.captchaPublicKey is not defined'); } grecaptcha.execute( window.captchaPublicKey, { action: 'submit_correction' } ).then( function( token ) { var opts={ action: 'firefly_sc_submit', name: document.querySelector( '.entry-submit-correction [name="name"]' ).value, : document.querySelector( '.entry-submit-correction [name=""]' ).value, message: document.querySelector( '.entry-submit-correction [name="message"]' ).value, post_id: firefly_post_id, cap_token: token } var inputs=[ 'name', '', 'message' ]; for( var i=0; i <inputs.length; i++ ) if( ! On Tuesday, the San Diego County Board of Supervisors in California voted 3-1 to implement what Supervisor Jim Desmond referred to as a “super” sanctuary policy. Desmond highlighted in a video shared on social media that this new policy would protect not only undocumented immigrants who entered the country illegally but also those who have committed serious crimes such as torture, rape, and kidnapping. The policy specifically prevents local law enforcement from informing Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) about violent undocumented individuals, even if they are already in custody. Desmond expressed concern that this policy exceeds California’s existing sanctuary laws.

Desmond outlined various serious offenses for which illegal immigrants could still receive “super” sanctuary protection, including child abuse, DUI felonies, possession of illegal weapons, gang-related crimes resulting in death or severe injury, and more. Three supervisors voted to shield these criminals from ICE actions. In response to this decision, Desmond vowed to collaborate with President-elect Donald Trump’s administration to reverse what he termed a disastrous policy.

The recent decision by the Board is seen as an insult to law-abiding citizens who prioritize safety and justice. However, Sheriff Kelly A. Martinez stated she would continue adhering to state law regarding ICE notifications and emphasized that there are no loopholes for protecting violent offenders from deportation.

Despite the Board’s resolution for a “super” sanctuary status being largely symbolic at this point—given Sheriff Martinez’s refusal to enforce it—the implications of such policies should not be underestimated.
