Honestly, it&rsquo;s very sad and heartbreaking,&rdquo; he said.<\/div>\n<p>Kasin was playing in a charity game in memory of Sabrina Navaretta of nearby Syosset, New York, who died last year in a car accident, according to the <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/12\/02\/us-news\/long-island-teen-connor-kasin-dies-after-suffering-medical-episode-during-charity-hockey-game\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York Post<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>A <a href=\"https:\/\/sabnavfoundation.org\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">foundation<\/a> in Navaretta&rsquo;s name raises scholarship money and helps <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/doctors-baffled-healthy-16-year-old-football-player-collapses-suffers-stroke-blood-clot-brain\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">grieving parents<\/a> whose children have died.<\/p>\n<p>The cause of Kasin&rsquo;s collapse was not known as late as his Dec. 6 funeral, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/newyork\/news\/connor-kasin-funeral-long-island-hockey-player\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CBS<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;He was an incredible child, an incredible hockey player, and just by today, you can see how wonderful he was.
