Bush, and Brzezinski were referencing was apparently reporting by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/national-security\/pete-hegseths-drinking-worried-colleagues-fox-news-sources-tell-nbc-ne-rcna181471\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NBC News<\/a> about 10 anonymous sources who either currently work or formerly worked for Fox News saying Hegseth drank alcohol in excess at times.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Two of those people said that on more than a dozen occasions during Hegseth&rsquo;s time as a co-host of &lsquo;Fox &amp; Friends Weekend,&rsquo; which began in 2017, they smelled alcohol on him before he went on air. Those same two people, plus another, said that during his time there he appeared on television after they&rsquo;d heard him talk about being hungover as he was getting ready or on set,&rdquo; according to NBC.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;One of the sources said they smelled alcohol on him as recently as last month and heard him complain about being hungover this fall,&rdquo; the outlet added. &ldquo;None &hellip; could recall an instance when Hegseth missed a scheduled appearance because he&rsquo;d been drinking.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Hegseth&rsquo;s former Fox News colleague <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-megyn-kelly-takes-stage-trump-rally-prove-mark-cuban-wrong\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Megyn Kelly<\/a> questioned him on her podcast Wednesday regarding the allegations of alcohol abuse.<\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/BqngqQy0FaA?si=Vd0ZnAcxYHV_j5ZF\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Check the tape, first of all,&rdquo; Hegseth said regarding allegations that he was inebriated on-air.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;All of those allegations are anonymous. All of them are unsubstantiated. No one&rsquo;s putting their name on it. No one can point to an actual incidence in an actual place, an actual piece of evidence.
