Judge Kyle Duncan of the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 5th Circuit, for example, in 2020 wrote an advisory opinion <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/feature\/nbc-out\/trump-appointed-judge-mocks-transgender-woman-s-gender-identity-opinion-n1117501\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">dismissing a<\/a> transgender defendant&rsquo;s preferred pronouns.<\/p>\n<p>The outcome of the case,&nbsp;<em>United States v.
