In the President&rsquo;s estimation, this legion of <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">federal civil servants<\/a>, the undersigned included, are unreasonable people.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Scarsi, who <a href=\"https:\/\/ballotpedia.org\/Mark_Scarsi\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">was confirmed<\/a> to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-yanks-trump-backed-hispanic-nominee-to-federal-appeals-court\/\" title=\"Biden Yanks Trump-Backed Hispanic Nominee to Federal Appeals Court\">federal bench<\/a> in 2020 as a nominee of then-President Donald Trump, also laid into parts of Joe Biden&rsquo;s statement that implicitly blamed Hunter&rsquo;s criminal behavior on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/hunter-biden-seeks-sympathy-slams-gop-weaponization-addiction-self-serving-op-ed\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">his addiction<\/a> to drugs and alcohol.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Those who were late paying their taxes because of serious addictions, but paid them back subsequently with interest and penalties, are typically given non-criminal resolutions. It is clear that Hunter was treated differently,&rdquo; Biden&rsquo;s statement claimed.<\/p>\n<p>Scarsi wasn&rsquo;t buying it &mdash; because the facts didn&rsquo;t back it up.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Upon pleading guilty to the charges in this case, Mr. Biden admitted that he engaged in tax evasion <em>after<\/em>&nbsp;this period of addiction by wrongfully deducting as business expenses items he knew were personal expenses, including luxury clothing, escort services, and his daughter&rsquo;s law school tuition,&rdquo; Scarsi wrote.
