They hailed Biden&rsquo;s alleged refusal to pardon as an &ldquo;impressive&rdquo; decision by, in the words of MSNBC&rsquo;s Joy Reid, a &ldquo;decent man.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>MSNBC&rsquo;s Mika Brzezinski claimed Biden&rsquo;s decision to let the jury determine his son&rsquo;s fate came about because he &ldquo;has so much respect for the law.&rdquo; One CNN panelist also suggested that Biden was simply proving he could &ldquo;continue to live up to his values when it was really personal.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<p>When Biden released a statement at the tail end of the Thanksgiving weekend <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/12\/02\/hunter-is-treated-differently-by-deep-state-but-not-how-joe-bidens-pardon-suggests\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">declaring<\/a> &ldquo;full and unconditional&rdquo; forgiveness for any federal crimes his son committed between January 1, 2014, and December 1, 2024, however, <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">corporate media feigned shock<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;President Joe Biden Pardons His Son Hunter After Previously Saying He Wouldn&rsquo;t,&rdquo; Time magazine&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/time.com\/7199219\/president-joe-biden-pardons-son-hunter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">headline declared.<\/a> <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Biden broke a promise pardoning his son Hunter, raising questions about his legacy,&rdquo; PBS <a href=\"https:\/\/www.pbs.org\/newshour\/politics\/biden-broke-a-promise-pardoning-his-son-hunter-raising-questions-about-his-legacy\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wrote.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;President Biden pardons his son Hunter despite previous pledges not to,&rdquo; the Associated Press <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/biden-son-hunter-charges-pardon-pledge-24f3007c2d2f467fa48e21bbc7262525\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Per usual, those running the nation&rsquo;s newsrooms owe Americans, who <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/09\/19\/hunter-biden-pled-guilty-so-his-corrupt-dad-can-pardon-him-after-the-election\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">accurately predicted that Biden would pardon Hunter<\/a> if Trump won the 2024 election, a big apology.<\/p>\n<p>Instead of owning up to the sin of not only taking Biden&rsquo;s word for it but criticizing those who didn&rsquo;t believe him, however, several outlets opted to point the finger back at the people and the party who saw clemency coming.<\/p>\n<p>They did not spend their word counts on calling out the Biden family&rsquo;s clear corruption. Rather, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/biden-campaign-sends-mixed-messages-after-trump-attack-washington-examiner\/\" title=\"Biden campaign sends mixed messages after Trump attack - Washington Examiner\">press aimed<\/a> its fire at Trump, the GOP, and their voters for raising a fuss about one of the most expansive pardons in presidential history.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Biden&rsquo;s pardon of his son pours fuel on Trump&rsquo;s claims of politicized justice,&rdquo; CNN <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cnn.com\/2024\/12\/02\/politics\/hunter-biden-pardon-analysis\/index.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">suggested<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Republicans fume after Biden pardons his son Hunter Biden,&rdquo; NBC News&rsquo; Sunday night <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/politics\/white-house\/congressional-reaction-president-joe-biden-pardons-hunter-rcna182375\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">headline stated.<\/a> <\/p>\n<p>Politico debuted an article accusing the Republican Party of trying to <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/politico\/status\/1863408461905547276\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">&ldquo;pounce on Biden pardoning his son.&rdquo; <\/a><\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<p>The publication later <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/politico\/status\/1863421558573719982\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">updated its headline<\/a> to &ldquo;Republicans say Biden is a &lsquo;liar&rsquo;&rdquo; in an effort to downplay concerns that Biden did in fact lie about his pardoning plans.<\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<p>The propaganda press did not simply accept Biden&rsquo;s empty and unreliable vow not to pardon his son. They also amplified and ran interference for it. When Biden reneged on his commitment, they pretended to be surprised that a fabulist like the sitting president would do such a thing. Then, they resumed their shenanigans on the liar&rsquo;s behalf. <\/p>\n<p>Tanking trust in U.S. news corporations isn&rsquo;t enough to teach the journos who hailed Biden and his word as decent and just a lesson.
