But Gov. Hunter brought the legal trouble he faced on himself, and one can sympathize with his struggles while also acknowledging that no one is above the law, not a President and not a President&rsquo;s son,&rdquo; the Colorado governor added.<\/p>\n<p>Polis has broken with conventional Democratic Party stances from time to time, including <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/3231130\/polis-breaks-democrats-celebrate-rfk-jr-hhs-nomination\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"praising\">praising<\/a> Trump&rsquo;s nomination of Robert F. Kennedy Jr. to head the Department of Health and Human Services and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/foreign-policy\/3003805\/jared-polis-bidens-tariffs-on-china-horrible-news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"criticizing\">criticizing<\/a> Joe Biden for imposing tariffs on various products imported from China.<\/p>\n<p>The president&rsquo;s pardon of any alleged or possible crimes from the beginning of 2014 until Sunday also had a mixed reception from other Democrats.<\/p>\n<p>Rep.
