It&rsquo;s unfortunate that, rather than come clean about their decades of wrongdoing, President Biden and his family continue to do everything they can to avoid accountability,&rdquo; Comer added.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>In the pardon of Hunter, Joe Biden said that he struggled with the decision but concluded over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend that his son was &ldquo;treated differently&rdquo; during the&nbsp;<a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/doj\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Department of Justice<\/a>&lsquo;s nearly six-year investigation and prosecution of his son.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Here&rsquo;s the truth: I believe in the justice system, but as I have wrestled with this, I also believe raw politics has infected this process and it led to a miscarriage of justice &mdash; and once I made this decision this weekend, there was no sense in delaying it further,&rdquo; he said.<\/p>\n<p>Hunter Biden was set to be sentenced in less than two weeks for three gun felonies after he was&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/3036924\/hunter-biden-guilty-of-three-gun-felonies\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">convicted<\/a>&nbsp;by a jury of unlawfully possessing a firearm while addicted to drugs.
