said Police Officer Tim Gover. &ldquo;And he got zapped from that.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Authorities received a call that the man was unconscious and didn&rsquo;t seem to be breathing.<\/p>\n<p>When police arrived, the man was in cardiac arrest and a co-worker was performing <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/athlete-suffers-cardiac-arrest-seizure-game-athletic-trainer-performs-cpr-10-minutes\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CPR<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p> <script type=\"text\/javascript\"> \t\t\tif ( getCookie( \"ff_subbed\" ) ) { \t\t\t\tdocument.getElementById(\"stnvideo\").remove() \t\t\t} \t\t<\/script> <\/p>\n<p>Using&nbsp;an automated external defibrillator, Gover and his team attempted to revive the young worker, initially to no avail.<\/p>\n<p>It wasn&rsquo;t until the third attempt that the victim&rsquo;s heart started beating again.<\/p>\n<p>The man was ambulanced to Newton Wellesley Hospital, then to Massachusetts General Hospital, where he remained in critical condition Wednesday night, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cbsnews.com\/boston\/news\/wellesley-electrocution-holiday-lights\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">CBS Boston<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;He&rsquo;ll be pretty lucky if he survives,&rdquo; Gover said. &ldquo;He took a big hit.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/osha-punishes-caterpillar-worker-immediately-incinerated-9th-day-job\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Occupational Safety and Health Administration<\/a> is investigating the incident.<\/p>\n<p>The Wellesley Municipal Light Plant inspected the utility pole in question and concluded there was no danger to the public, CBS Boston reported.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The Wellesley Police, Fire, and WMLP Department extend our thoughts and prayers to the victim and his family during this tragic incident,&rdquo;
