The episode featured businessman and former software engineer Marc Andreessen as his guest. During their discussion, Rogan lamented how &ldquo;corporate media&rdquo; has eroded its credibility, contending this continuous decline is driving more and more people to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/is-bidens-cabinet-lying-to-cover-his-decrepit-mental-state\/\" title=\"Is Biden&#039;s Cabinet Covering Up His Mental Decline?\">independent media sources<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Andreessen raised the possibility that the 2024 election was &ldquo;the first internet election&rdquo; the country had ever held, suggesting an argument could be made that it was, while Rogan stated, &ldquo;I think this is it.&rdquo; Andreessen also added that Rogan&rsquo;s podcast &ldquo;played a big role&rdquo; in the election, referring to how President-elect Donald Trump appeared on his show right before the election.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I think these <em>Call Her Daddy<\/em> shows and all these different shows that she went on, I mean, I&rsquo;m sure they had an impact, but I think that in the future &hellip; I&rsquo;m sure they&rsquo;re scrambling to try to create their own version of this show,&rdquo; Rogan said. &ldquo;This is one thing that keeps coming up like, &lsquo;We need our own Joe Rogan.&rsquo; But they had me. I was on their side! Rogan then pointed out how communicating through <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/cable-news\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">cable television<\/a> &ldquo;doesn&rsquo;t work anymore,&rdquo; as trying to do so was the equivalent of &ldquo;using smoke signals&rdquo; whereas everyone else is using cellphones.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/3217157\/joe-rogan-endorses-trump-after-musk-interview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Rogan endorsed Trump about a day before the 2024 election<\/a>, which he gave after the former president was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=hBMoPUAeLnY&amp;t=1s\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">a guest on his podcast<\/a><em>.<\/em> Trump appeared on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/presidential\/3193261\/2024-election-trump-harris-campaigns-podcast-interviews\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">far more podcasts this election cycle than he had in 2016 and 2020<\/a>, with his appearance on Rogan&rsquo;s show getting over 51 million views on YouTube.<\/p>\n<p>Following the election, Rogan discussed with Andreessen how the election results were &ldquo;one of the first times ever&rdquo; in which he &ldquo;felt hopeful&rdquo; after an election. Andreessen agreed, describing the election results as &ldquo;morning in America.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Andreessen also jokingly compared the 2024 election cycle to a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/review-dune\/\" title=\"REVIEW: \u2018Dune\u2019\">science-fiction film<\/a>, in which &ldquo;the timeline has split twice,&rdquo; the first being <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/house\/3167367\/butler-police-blame-secret-service-trump-assassination-attempt-hearing\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">the July 13 assassination attempt against Trump<\/a> and the second being Trump&rsquo;s victory against Vice President Kamala Harris.
