Instead we had productive conversations to find solutions.<\/p>\n<p>Below are the&hellip; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/BD02xJQ0X2\">pic.twitter.com\/BD02xJQ0X2<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Robby Starbuck (@robbystarbuck) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/robbystarbuck\/status\/1861183474667004141?\">November 25, 2024<\/a><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/p>\n<p>Bloomberg noted Starbuck&rsquo;s apparent role in Monday&rsquo;s announcement by <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/walmart-aldi-announce-return-trump-era-prices-special-holiday-promo-inflation-free-thanksgiving\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Walmart<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Walmart has decided to no longer participate in the pro-LGBTQ Human Rights Campaign&rsquo;s Corporate Equality Index.<\/p>\n<p>The retailer said it will not carry inappropriate sexual and transgender products marketed toward children.<\/p>\n<p>Walmart will discontinue its racial equity training and stop funding its Racial Equity Center, which it established in 2020 in response to the George Floyd protests.<\/p>\n<p>Further, the corporation will no longer evaluate its suppliers based on certain demographic criteria.<\/p>\n<p>Bloomberg reported that Walmart has an ethnically diverse workforce, with people of color making up over half of its 1.6 million employees in the U.S.<\/p>\n<p>Starbuck said that other companies that have pulled back on DEI include: Tractor Supply, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/money\/2024\/07\/17\/john-deere-dei-programs\/74443276007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">John Deere,<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/shame-still-works-iconic-american-company-abruptly-backtracks-multiple-dei-far-left-initiatives\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Harley Davidson<\/a>, Polaris, Indian Motorcycle, Lowe&rsquo;s, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/ford-announces-end-lgbt-ranking-involvement-dei-initiatives-hands-letter\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Ford<\/a>, Coors, Stanley Black &amp; Decker, Jack Daniels, DeWalt tools, Craftsman, Caterpillar, Boeing, and Toyota.<\/p>\n<p>Walmart told <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/watch-trump-obliterates-bloombergs-editor-chief-hears-roar-crowd-fiery-interview\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Bloomberg<\/a> its decision to reverse course on DEI policies had been in the works for months, but perhaps attention from Starbuck nudged it along.<\/p>\n<p>The news outlet pointed out that corporations have been looking at the U.S. Supreme Court decision in June 2023 finding affirmative action in college admissions is unconstitutional and realizing they may be next to <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">face similar legal challenges<\/a> to their DEI policies.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.npr.org\/2024\/11\/26\/nx-s1-5206289\/walmart-dei-rollback-diversity\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">NPR<\/a> reported, &ldquo;A Walmart spokesperson said some of its policy changes have been in progress for a while. For example, it has been moving away from using the word DEI in job titles and communications and started to use the word &lsquo;belonging.&#8217;&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The demise of wokeness cannot come soon enough.
