The automotive industry alone, an important sector in the country, could be among the most bloodied.<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.trade.gov\/country-commercial-guides\/mexico-automotive-industry\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">U.S. International Trade Administration<\/a>, vehicle production, including the manufacturing of parts and technology for cars, is one of Mexico&rsquo;s &ldquo;most significant&rdquo; industries.<\/p>\n<p>The automotive sector alone accounts for 3.6 percent of Mexico&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/its-official-trump-crushes-record-for-largest-gdp-increase-in-us-history-3rd-quarter-gdp-up-33-1\/\" title=\"IT&#039;S OFFICIAL: Trump Crushes Record for Largest GDP Increase in US History -- 3rd Quarter GDP Up 33.1%\">gross domestic product<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Trump&rsquo;s targeting of the industry would <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">undoubtedly shake factory floors<\/a> from Baja California to the Yucatan. Marcelo Ebrard, Mexico&rsquo;s economy minister, hinted that the nation may respond with tariffs of its own against the U.S..<\/p>\n<p>Another area where Sheinbaum&rsquo;s administration will undoubtedly have to change gears is the border.<\/p>\n<p>While Mexican forces are working security on the country&rsquo;s border with the United States, the effort is laughably ineffective.
