The report \u200breveals details of a &#8220;Research Plan&#8221; approved by UCSD\u2019s \u2063Institutional Review Board (IRB)\u2063 in\u2063 2018, which involved collecting tissues from fetuses aged \u20624 to 23 weeks gestation from patients undergoing abortions at Planned Parenthood in\u200d San Diego. The\u200b <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">plan included monitoring <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/supreme-court-of-mexico-decriminalizes-abortion\/\" title=\"Supreme Court Of Mexico Decriminalizes Abortion\">fetal heart activity<\/a> prior<\/a> to the abortion procedure. \u200d <\/p>\n<p>CMP also highlighted \u200dan\u2063 email \u2064indicating the use of misoprostol, a drug that induces\u200c labor, on \u2062patients hours before \u2064harvesting fetuses,\u2063 suggesting\u2064 that the procedures may not be standard abortions but\u200b potentially involve partial-birth abortions \u200bor other methods that deliver live preemies. The plan was submitted to and approved by UCSD&rsquo;s Institutional Review Board (IRB) in 2018. The heavily redacted communications were obtained by the group via <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/impossible-gop-picked-up-seats-in-house-picked-up-state-legislatures-picked-up-governorship-held-the-senate-but-sniffy-joe-won-not-a-chance\/\" title=\"IMPOSSIBLE: GOP Picked Up Seats in House, Picked Up State Legislatures, Picked Up Governorship, Held the Senate -- But Sniffy Joe Won?... NOT A CHANCE\">open records request<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-0eb93b8244f591afd636085fa5f62d63 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-0eb93b8244f591afd636085fa5f62d63\"><\/div>\n<p>According to the records reported by CMP, researchers unveiled plans in their submission to &ldquo;collect tissues from fetuses ranging from 4 to 23 weeks gestational age from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/report-planned-parenthood-sold-aborted-babies-for-experiments\/\" title=\"Report: Planned Parenthood Sold Aborted Babies For Experiments\">subjects undergoing elective surgical pregnancy termination<\/a> at Planned Parenthood in San Diego.&rdquo; The researchers further noted that patients with &ldquo;viable nonanomalous &hellip; fetuses&rdquo; would partake in the analysis.<\/p>\n<p>Planned Parenthood will gather &ldquo;evidence of fetal heart activity by ultrasound immediately prior to the dilation and evacuation procedure,&rdquo; the submitted plan reads. The abortion provider aimed to harvest babies from &ldquo;up to 2,500 patients,&rdquo; according to the plan.<\/p>\n<p>As noted by CMP, the &ldquo;majority of healthy infants born at 23 weeks can survive with modern medical care.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"> <span class=\"4u2sbxXAQ6NSO7zGRijLw\"><\/p>\n<div class=\"ratio ratio-16x9\"><iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"Planned Parenthood Sells \" viable healthy aborted babies to university of california width=\"500\" height=\"281\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/LRutrc_zCbU?feature=oembed&amp;enablejsapi=1\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p><\/span> <\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>The investigative nonprofit highlighted one 2018 email indicating Planned Parenthood&rsquo;s overuse of misoprostol (Cytotec) on patients hours before harvesting the viable babies for their body parts. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.centerformedicalprogress.org\/2024\/11\/breaking-viable-nonanomalous-6-month-old-fetuses-sold-from-planned-parenthood-abortions-to-university-of-california-new-documents-show\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CMP<\/a>, the drug is often &ldquo;used in chemical abortions to force-start labor contractions.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-d38efe0bb98972d656ee91be14326322 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-d38efe0bb98972d656ee91be14326322\"><\/div>\n<p>In a partially redacted <a href=\"https:\/\/www.centerformedicalprogress.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/PPPSW-Misoprostol-collections.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">2018 email<\/a> regarding the Research Plan, an unidentified individual working on the study wrote, &ldquo;[A]ny sample greater than about 12.5w[eeks] requires the use of a dilating medication which is given to the patients 3 hours ahead of their procedure (these are called &lsquo;cyto&rsquo; patients).&rdquo; <\/p>\n<p>According to CMP, &ldquo;Some studies show a 50 microgram dose of Misoprostol is enough to induce labor by 4 hours in the majority of cases,&rdquo; while Planned Parenthood&rsquo;s &ldquo;national guidelines recommend 400 to 800 micrograms before late-term so-called &lsquo;dilation and evacuation&rsquo; abortions &mdash; 8 to 16 times as much &mdash; and urge clinics not to allow patients to leave the clinic after taking the drugs.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><strong>[READ:[READ:<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/03\/05\/documents-show-planned-parenthood-exchanges-baby-body-parts-for-intellectual-property-rights\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Documents Show Planned Parenthood Exchanges Baby Body Parts For Intellectual Property Rights<\/a>]<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Planned Parenthood&rsquo;s use of heavy doses of a labor contraction drug to dilate pregnant women targeted for a viable fetus harvesting project means these are likely not standard &lsquo;dismemberment&rsquo; abortions, but either intact partial-birth abortions or full delivery of live preemies,&rdquo; CMP Founder and President David Daleiden said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.centerformedicalprogress.org\/2024\/11\/breaking-viable-nonanomalous-6-month-old-fetuses-sold-from-planned-parenthood-abortions-to-university-of-california-new-documents-show\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">statement<\/a>. <\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-85167526edf31c8f1f3f3d5fcf274b14 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-85167526edf31c8f1f3f3d5fcf274b14\"><\/div>\n<p>The open records request revealed more disturbing findings, including apparent racial discrimination by Planned Parenthood. <\/p>\n<p>As noted by CMP, the English-language&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.centerformedicalprogress.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/11\/PPPSWUCSD-IRB-Consents-English-Spanish-2018.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">consent forms<\/a> provided by the abortion provider to pregnant women &ldquo;include 15 bullet-pointed disclosures, the thirteenth of which states: &lsquo;I understand that the donated blood, tissue, or their derivatives may have significant therapeutic or commercial value.
