Wade\">Roe v. Wade<\/a><\/em>.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>When Thurman presented at the emergency room with signs of a severe infection due to an incomplete expulsion of the fetuses, doctors waited 20 hours before performing the procedure that would remove the remaining pregnancy tissue, known as a dilation and curettage. Thurman died during the procedure.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Miller, a 41-year-old mother with three children, obtained abortion pills in November 2022 in part due to chronic conditions that would have made pregnancy life-threatening or difficult. Miller reportedly did not <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/kenya-airways-will-stop-flying-lab-monkeys-after-philadelphia-accident\/\" title=\"Kenya Airways Will Stop Flying Lab Monkeys After Philadelphia Accident\">seek medical attention<\/a> when she developed symptoms of an infection out of fear of the state&rsquo;s abortion ban, eventually dying at home.<\/p>\n<p>The Georgia MMRC identified both of these cases as preventable deaths.
