This\u200c decision aligns with \u200cproposals previously put \u200cforth by\u2064 GOP\u200d lawmakers.\u2064 Johnson stated that all single-sex \u2062facilities in the Capitol and House Office Buildings, including restrooms \u200dand changing rooms, are designated\u200d for individuals of their biological sex. Nancy Mace (R-SC) <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/house\/3235335\/democrats-mace-transgender-bathroom-ban-proposal\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"introduced a resolution earlier this week\">introduced a resolution earlier this week<\/a> targeting Rep.-elect Sarah McBride (D-DE), the first <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/4-examples-of-wokeness-infecting-the-united-states-military\/\" title=\"4 Examples Of  \u2018Wokeness\u2019 Infecting The United States Military\">transgender member<\/a> of Congress, from using bathrooms designated for female lawmakers and staffers in the Capitol building.<\/p>\n<p>The policy applies to bathrooms in the Capitol and House office buildings and will be enforced by the House sergeant-at-arms. Although the means of enforcement are not clear, Johnson maintained it will be.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Like all policies, it is enforceable,&rdquo; Johnson told reporters. &ldquo;It&rsquo;s always been an unwritten policy, but now it&rsquo;s in writing.&rdquo; <\/p>\n<p>It remains unclear what punishments could ensure if someone is found in violation of the policy.
