Nancy Mace<\/a> (R-SC) on Monday.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"article-paywall\">\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.scribd.com\/document\/794006595\/Mace-Bathroom-Resolution\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Under the bill<\/a>, which Mace is hoping to attach to the new House rules package that will be voted on next year, the House sergeant-at-arms would be required to enforce the new rule. The legislation comes as the House is set to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/live-blog-posts\/sarah-mcbride-first-transgender-member-congress-house-win\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">welcome its first transgender lawmaker<\/a> on Jan. 3 with the swearing-in of Rep.-elect Sarah McBride (D-DE).&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The sanctity of protecting women and standing up against the Left&rsquo;s systematic erasure of biological women starts here in the nation&rsquo;s Capitol,&rdquo; Mace <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/transgender-women-banned-from-capitol-hill-female-bathrooms-under-new-house-gop-proposal\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">said in a statement to Fox News,<\/a> which first reported on the legislation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>McBride called Mace&rsquo;s effort a distraction. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;This is a blatant attempt from far right-wing extremists to distract from the fact that they have no real solutions to what Americans are facing,&rdquo; McBride told the <em>Washington Examiner.<\/em> &ldquo;We should be focused on bringing down the cost of housing, health care, and child care, not manufacturing culture wars.
