McCormick has been declared the winner by the Associated Press and last&nbsp;week he was invited to attend <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/politics\/schumer-invites-mccormick-gallego-new-senator-orientation\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">congressional orientations,<\/a> but Casey will not concede the loss.<\/p>\n<p>And with the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.pa.gov\/en\/agencies\/dos\/newsroom\/unofficial-results-in-u-s--senate-race-trigger-legally-required-.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">recount<\/a>&nbsp;underway, election officials in Bucks, Montgomery, Philadelphia, and Centre counties have said they <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2024\/11\/17\/us\/pennsylvania-election-ballots-recount.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">intend<\/a> to include in the count ballots that arrived with improper or no date. The practice is in defiance of state election law and&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/11\/03\/last-minute-supreme-court-decisions-temporarily-settle-pennsylvanias-embattled-election-rules\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">recent<\/a>&nbsp;state Supreme Court rulings. &nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>In a media call on Monday, RNC Chairman Michael Whatley noted that even though Republicans expect to maintain McCormick&rsquo;s win, the actions taken by Democrats in the aftermath of the election cannot be ignored.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;They have taken every step that they can to try and engineer votes that would overturn this margin,&rdquo; Whatley said on the media call. &ldquo;The fact that the margin is large enough that it will not be overturned does not take away from the fact that these are improper actions that are being taken by the Bob Casey campaign, by his attorneys, and by these officials, and we have been very clear that we are going to prosecute to the fullest extent of the law, folks that are not following The law.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-b4910e9a3d1bb3defb836bdc1c9ca5c2 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-b4910e9a3d1bb3defb836bdc1c9ca5c2\"><\/div>\n<p>&ldquo;In Bucks County, we have a commissioner &hellip; blatantly stating that they&rsquo;re going to count votes against the law in an illegal manner,&rdquo; U.S. Rep. Dan Mueser, a Pennsylvania Republican said on the Monday media call. &ldquo;Equally disturbing, is that no one within &hellip; the Democrat Party leadership &hellip; is stating anything about this. There&rsquo;s no comment from Gov. Shapiro. There&rsquo;s no comment on those statements from the Attorney General &hellip; [O]ur governor and attorney general won&rsquo;t make a statement as the law is being defied because [Casey] is a member of their own party.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The governor&rsquo;s office did not respond to a request from The Federalist for comment on why Gov. Shapiro has not denounced counting disqualified ballots.
