Nevada Secretary of \u200cState Francisco Aguilar expressed disappointment over the number \u2062of votes not\u200c counted \u2064due to this failure. He also said many of the problematic ballots came from younger voters who neglected to sign their names on the forms. Jacky Rosen (D-NV) was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/congressional\/3201147\/nevada-senate-race-results-2024-jacky-rosen-sam-brown\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">decided<\/a> by a close margin. The Republican senate hopeful conceded a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/three-hurdles-utah-governors-democratic-challenger-will-need-to-overcome-to-pose-a-threat-washington-examiner\/\" title=\"Three hurdles Utah governor\u2019s Democratic challenger will need to overcome to pose a threat - Washington Examiner\">razor-thin loss<\/a> of roughly 23,000 to&nbsp;Rosen last week.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Nevada&rsquo;s overall 2024 elections appeared to run fairly smoothly compared to the 2020 cycle. However, questions were raised after more than <a href=\"https:\/\/thenevadaindependent.com\/article\/clark-county-discovers-1600-uncounted-ballots-but-results-unchanged\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">1,600<\/a> uncounted ballots were discovered in Clark County, the state&rsquo;s most populous county, nine days after the election.&nbsp;The ballots were subsequently counted and did not change the results of any election. <\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Aguilar assured voters the mistake would not happen again and pledged that &ldquo;appropriate accountability measures&rdquo; would be taken in comments to the outlet.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>The 2024 election cycle notably <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/3150902\/democratic-official-unveiling-voter-safeguards-have-to-make-sure-nevada-votes-count\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">marks<\/a> the first time Nevada has used its new $30 million top-down Voter Registration and Election Management Solution system.
