Only, when it came time to identify Banks, the family insisted it wasn&rsquo;t her.<\/p>\n<p>The &ldquo;Gossip Girl&rdquo; and &ldquo;Blue Bloods&rdquo; actress was reported missing on Oct. 30, <a href=\"https:\/\/abc7chicago.com\/post\/missing-los-angeles-actress-chanel-maya-banks-i-am-not-missing\/15545326\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">KABC-TV<\/a>&nbsp;reported.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Five days without hearing from my cousin is red flags and alarm bells,&rdquo; Banks&rsquo; cousin Danielle-Tori Singh said. &ldquo;She doesn&rsquo;t go more than 48 hours without speaking to me or her mom. &hellip; That girl is more like a big sister to me.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The search ended when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/democratic-politician-crashes-car-allegedly-drunk-hurls-vile-insults-responding-officer-police-report\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">police<\/a> found the actress unharmed in Texas with no <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/arizona-makeshift-border-wall-mysteriously-toppled-foul-play-suspected\/\" title=\"Arizona Makeshift Border Wall Mysteriously Toppled, Foul Play Suspected\">foul play suspected<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>But when the Los Angeles Police Department showed Banks&rsquo; mother and cousin a still photo of Banks, the family immediately noticed a problem. <strong>&nbsp; &nbsp;<\/strong><\/p>\n<p> <script type=\"text\/javascript\"> \t\t\tif ( getCookie( \"ff_subbed\" ) ) { \t\t\t\tdocument.getElementById(\"stnvideo\").remove() \t\t\t} \t\t<\/script> <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;They did show us a still, and within half a second, we said, &lsquo;That&rsquo;s not her,&#8217;&rdquo; Singh said at a news conference Tuesday.<\/p>\n<p>Banks&rsquo; mother also said the photo was not of her daughter.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We were there for over an hour trying to convince them that &lsquo;This is not my daughter. This is not my daughter. This is my daughter. I have one child,&#8217;&rdquo; Judy Kumar said.<\/p>\n<div class=\"firefly-embed\"> <iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"YouTube video player\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/t3r7gjf7ojM?si=_jdlAG1Y6zGOSJS7\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" frameborder=\"0\" allowfullscreen=\"allowfullscreen\"><\/iframe><\/div>\n<p>Video and audio of Banks only fueled the family&rsquo;s skepticism.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We were able to listen to what this woman was saying, and she did not sound like my cousin,&rdquo; Singh said. &ldquo;My cousin has a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/owner-pnut-squirrel-announces-plan-make-new-york-state-pay-gonna-get-answers\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">New York<\/a> accent. It&rsquo;s something you don&rsquo;t really ever get rid of, no matter where you live in the world.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Singh added that Banks, 36, who was from New York, had been <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/outcry-erupts-california-prepares-release-pillowcase-rapist-terrorized-dozens-women\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">living in California<\/a> for 10 years. I just want to be free of a toxic woman and her family. INTERVIEW INCOMING,&rdquo; Banks wrote in a story on her <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/ohheychanel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Instagram page<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I have met with Police and verified that not only am I okay, but I&rsquo;m finally free from my mother Judy Kumar and her family,&rdquo; Banks wrote in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.instagram.com\/ohheychanel\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">statement on Instagram<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;They say, once you&rsquo;re free in Christ Jesus, you&rsquo;re free indeed, so I told my husband six days ago I was going to get baptized by one of my favorite pastors Pastor Robert Clancy.
