Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY) asking people why they chose to vote for President-elect <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Donald Trump<\/a>, in which she received responses calling both her and Trump &ldquo;outsiders&rdquo; from the establishment of Washington, D.C., who care about &ldquo;the working class.&rdquo; Co-host Ana Navarro suggested the next Democratic presidential candidate needs to make a name for himself or herself before running to gain recognition among voters. Goldberg then contended that Trump had been running &ldquo;for 12 years.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I appreciate that people are having a hard time. Me too, I work for a living,&rdquo; Goldberg said. &ldquo;If I had all the money in the world, I would not be here. OK? Additionally, her annual salary for co-hosting the show was reported in 2016 to be around $5 million to $6 million.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Goldberg contended that while she is aware &ldquo;it&rsquo;s hard out there,&rdquo; most voters opted to ignore issues outside of their financial security. She added that something &ldquo;bothering everybody&rdquo; should not be prioritized over issues &ldquo;that put 85% of other people in danger.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Prior to Goldberg&rsquo;s claim that she is part of the working class, co-host Alyssa Farah Griffin praised Ocasio-Cortez&rsquo;s offer to hear from others why they chose to support Trump.
