Recently, \u200cplayers from various teams have started to mimic\u2064 Trump&#8217;s dance moves as part of their celebrations. Notably, San Francisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa and \u2063other players showcased these moves during a\u2063 game against the Tampa\u200b Bay\u200b Buccaneers. In college football, \u2064Drake Bulldogs wide receiver Trey Radocha and Northern Illinois Huskies tight end\u2062 Tristen\u200d Tewes also joined in, thanking Trump for\u200b the inspiration. <\/p>\n<p>This \u2064trend reflects a wider cultural change, with \u200bplayers\u2063 feeling more emboldened to show public\u2063 support for Trump, highlighted by Bosa&#8217;s appearance with a MAGA\u2062 hat during a \u2062<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/lebron-james-responds-to-swedens-zlatan-ibrahimovic-i-will-never-just-stick-to-sports\/\" title=\"LeBron James Responds To Sweden\u2019s Zlatan Ibrahimovic: I Will Never \u2018Just Stick To Sports\u2019\">post-game interview<\/a>, which led to a league \u200cfine. Other players, like Kansas City Chiefs&#8217; James\u200b Winchester and kicker Harrison Butker, have \u2062also shown their support openly. This increasing visibility of political expression in the sport signals a significant shift in the\u200b relationship\u2063 between athletes and \u200bpolitics, particularly as players embrace their \u200cendorsement of \u2062Trump\u200d leading up to the\u200d 2024 election.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>A new phenomenon is taking hold of the football world &mdash; and no, I&rsquo;m not referring to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/college\/ole-miss\/2024\/11\/09\/squirrel-ole-miss-georgia-football-vaught-hemingway-stadium\/76163009007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">increase<\/a> in squirrels <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/sports\/college\/ole-miss\/2024\/10\/26\/squirrel-ole-miss-oklahoma-football-touchdown\/75865417007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">finding<\/a> their way onto the field during Ole Miss games. <\/p>\n<p>Throughout the past few weeks, players at the collegiate and professional levels have been breaking out some familiar dance moves after making big plays. To the casual observer, the celebrations seem like the typical over-the-top theatrics displayed on the field after a major performance. For those who&rsquo;ve watched Donald Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=1huCqtFv3GA\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bust a move<\/a> to &ldquo;YMCA,&rdquo; however, the inspiration for the dance is pretty clear. <\/p>\n<p>During Sunday&rsquo;s matchup against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, San Fransisco 49ers defensive end Nick Bosa and several of his teammates playfully mimicked the soon-to-be 47th president&rsquo;s classic moves to celebrate a major play against Tampa Bay&rsquo;s offense. And they&rsquo;re not the only ones doing so. <\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<p>At the collegiate level, Drake Bulldogs wide receiver Trey Radocha boogied to Trump&rsquo;s beat after scoring a touchdown during the school&rsquo;s Saturday game against the University of St. Thomas. Radocha later <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxnews.com\/sports\/college-football-wide-receiver-thanks-trump-touchdown-dance-celebration-inspiration\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">thanked<\/a> the president-elect for the &ldquo;dance move&rdquo; on X. <\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<p>Northern Illinois Huskies tight end Tristen Tewes also displayed the president&rsquo;s famous dance after scoring a touchdown during a recent game. <\/p>\n<figure><\/figure>\n<p>But imitating Trump&rsquo;s dancing is only a small part of the cultural shift happening in football. Unlike years prior, players are no longer afraid to show their support for the incoming president. <\/p>\n<p>Following the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/nfl-rookie-ricky-pearsall-shot-in-attempted-robbery-reports-washington-examiner\/\" title=\"NFL rookie Ricky Pearsall shot in attempted robbery: Reports - Washington Examiner\">49ers&#038;rsquo<\/a>; Week 8 victory over the Dallas Cowboys, Bosa photobombed his teammates during a post-game NBC interview, pointing to the white and gold MAGA hat on his head before running off camera. The NFL has since <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outkick.com\/sports\/nick-bosa-fined-nfl-wearing-maga-hat-nbc-postgame-nfl-does-not-fine-nick-bosa-maga-hat-moment\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">fined<\/a> Bosa for purportedly violating league policy, a punishment the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">defensive end previously told reporters<\/a> would be &ldquo;well worth it.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;[I]f it comes, it comes,&rdquo; Bosa <a href=\"https:\/\/www.outkick.com\/sports\/nick-bosa-has-zero-regrets-about-wearing-maga-hat-trump-support-the-nation-spoke\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a> of the fine days before it was issued. &ldquo;I don&rsquo;t think my position on speaking about [what I did] is going to change. Long snapper James Winchester <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/greg_price11\/status\/1853668177072296191\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">donned<\/a> a red MAGA hat on the field after the team&rsquo;s Week 9 overtime win against the Buccaneers, while kicker <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/tag\/harrison-butker\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Harrison Butker<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/nypost.com\/2024\/10\/11\/sports\/harrison-butker-endorses-president-trump-on-pro-life-issue\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">endorsed<\/a> Trump weeks before the 2024 election. <\/p>\n<p>Green Bay Packers running back AJ Dillon, former Packers quarterback Brett Favre, former Pittsburgh Steelers running back Le&rsquo;Veon Bell and wide receiver Antonio Brown, and former New York Giants linebacker Lawrence Taylor are <a href=\"https:\/\/www.newsweek.com\/sports\/nfl\/former-steelers-star-joins-antonio-brown-endorsing-donald-trump-president-1971753\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">among<\/a> other <a href=\"https:\/\/www.msn.com\/en-us\/sports\/nfl\/packers-star-running-back-aj-dillon-gets-special-shoutout-at-trump-rally-in-key-battleground-state\/ar-AA1tgUPL\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">footballers<\/a> to openly <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/presidential\/3000930\/nfl-legend-lawrence-taylor-endorses-trump-after-he-has-always-been-a-democrat\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">support<\/a> Trump in recent months.<\/p>\n<p>As The Federalist&rsquo;s John Daniel Davidson previously <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/10\/29\/the-social-stigma-of-being-a-trump-supporter-is-gone\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">noted<\/a>, many Americans have shed the fear instilled in them by legacy media to hide their support for Trump. After two assassination attempts against the incoming president and years of disgusting left-wing smears, they no longer feel shamed into hiding their commonsense beliefs and are outwardly rejecting the corporate press&rsquo;s dishonest bullying tactics.<\/p>\n<p>It appears that trend has now made its way into America&rsquo;s sports culture, giving non-leftist athletes the courage to profess their conservative beliefs.
