You can&rsquo;t un-expose kids to this stuff&hellip;,&rdquo; one <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/watch-furious-ca-restaurant-owner-confronts-inspectors-issuing-citation-are-you-gonna-pay-my-rent\/\" title=\"WATCH: Furious CA Restaurant Owner Confronts Inspectors Issuing Citation: \u2018Are You Gonna Pay My Rent?\u2019\">social media user<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/EthicalTruther\/status\/1855709179593490643\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">commented<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;All of these Wicked toys at Target have a porn site on them. @Target can you please pull these ASAP,&rdquo; another social media user <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/FlipFlip\/status\/1855624474541916242\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Is @Mattel @Target @Walmart gonna do something about this!?&rdquo; one especially perturbed social media user <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/AlertFlip\/status\/1855704972358222142\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">posted<\/a>. &ldquo;You put a PORN WEBSITE ON CHILDRENS TOYS.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Are you freaking kidding me!?!!!?&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The incident had picked up enough steam over the weekend that Mattel itself had to apologize profusely on Sunday, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hollywoodreporter.com\/movies\/movie-news\/wicked-dolls-mattel-mistakenly-link-to-adult-porn-site-1236058013\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">The Hollywood Reporter<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Mattel was made aware of a misprint on the packaging of the Mattel &lsquo;Wicked&rsquo; collection dolls, primarily sold in the U.S., which intended to direct consumers to the official WickedMovie.com landing page,&rdquo; the company said via statement. &ldquo;We deeply regret this unfortunate error and are taking immediate action to remedy this. Parents are advised that the misprinted, incorrect website is not appropriate for children.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Consumers who already have the product are advised to discard the product packaging or obscure the link and may contact Mattel Customer Service for further information.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>According to the <a href=\"https:\/\/apnews.com\/article\/mattel-wicked-movie-dolls-porn-website-4cf8acc526dd4630d9f5328e2ee78df1\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Associated Press<\/a>, &ldquo;as of Monday morning, at least some of these &lsquo;Wicked&rsquo; dolls appeared to be no longer available or not in stock on sites like Amazon, Target and Mattel&rsquo;s.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>(There are no specifics in regards to how Mattel is otherwise handling this error.)<\/p>\n<p>One reason that the backlash to this incident was especially fierce &mdash; apart from the obvious &mdash; likely has to do with the other backlash that Mattel has been facing.<\/p>\n<p>Namely, Mattel has engaged in a number of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/dark-secret-hiding-behind-mattels-new-transgender-barbie\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">culture war<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/mattel-caters-gender-creative-kids-offers-new-gender-neutral-doll\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">topics<\/a> with its toy lines, which has polarized the once-neutral toy brand.<\/p>\n<p>This also isn&rsquo;t the first time a blundering typo has made it onto a Mattel toy box.<\/p>\n<p>In <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/typo-progressive-new-barbie-box-mocks-people-supposed-honor\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">a late-2023 attempt<\/a> to honor America&rsquo;s first female Cherokee tribal chief, Wilma Mankiller, Mattel released a special doll of her.
