Wisconsin<\/h2>\n<p>With 99% of the votes counted, Wisconsin had the highest voter turnout rate at 76.1% this election, according to an <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonpost.com\/politics\/2024\/11\/06\/voter-turnout-2024-by-state\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">analysis <\/a>by the <em>Washington Post<\/em>. During the 2020 presidential election, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sos.nh.gov\/sites\/g\/files\/ehbemt561\/files\/documents\/2022-04\/voter-turnout-charts-4-19-21.pdf\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">voter turnout<\/a> was 71.9% &mdash; reflecting a 4.2% drop.<\/p>\n<p>President-elect Donald Trump won the swing state with 49.7% of the vote &mdash; less than a 1-point lead ahead of Vice President Kamala Harris.<\/p>\n<p>The state&rsquo;s previous record for voter turnout for a presidential election was 75%, set in 2004.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Minnesota<\/h2>\n<p>In the home state of Harris&rsquo;s running mate, Gov. Tim Walz (D-MN), Minnesota voters followed Wisconsin with the second-highest voter turnout. The previous record was set in 2020, with 78.8% of voters turning out to vote.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Oregon<\/h2>\n<p>Voters set a new record, with 74.9% of voters turning out in the 2024 election. The previously held record was 74.1% in 2020.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Colorado  <\/h2>\n<p>Nearly three-quarters (74.3%) of registered Colorado voters turned out for the 2024 election &mdash; falling short of the 2020 record of 75.8%.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">5. Michigan<\/h2>\n<p>Michigan is another swing state Trump captured, with 49.7% of the vote. Voter turnout jumped to 73.8% in 2024 from 72.8% in 2020.<\/p>\n<p>This jump in turnout comes as Arab Americans, a historically safe Democratic voting bloc, turned away from the Harris campaign and Biden administration due to disapproval of the United States&rsquo;s involvement in the Gaza war.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Lowest turnout<\/h2>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">1. Hawaii<\/h2>\n<p>The island state only saw 49.6% of voters turn out in the 2024 election, a 5.2% drop compared to 2020.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. In 2020, the state saw 57.6% of voters turn out.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">3. Oklahoma<\/h2>\n<p>Oklahoma saw a surge in voters in 2024, with a turnout rate of 53%. In 2020, 51.5% of voters cast ballots.<\/p>\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">4. Arkansas<\/h2>\n<p>Voter turnout dipped to 53.1% in 2024 in the red state of Arkansas.
