VICTORY has been SECURED,&rdquo; the Republican Party of Arizona <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/AZGOP\/status\/1855441952793043262\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wrote<\/a> on X. &ldquo;Congratulations to our 45th and 47th President of the United States, @realDonaldTrump! TIME TO MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Trump&rsquo;s electoral prospects in the Grand Canyon State were high heading into Election Day. For example, Republicans dramatically expanded their voter registration advantage over Democrats. <\/p>\n<p>According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.12news.com\/article\/news\/politics\/elections\/arizona-republicans-have-bigger-registration-advantage-compared-2020-election-swing-state\/75-b0572ae6-e768-45fc-bddb-3a857eccbc24\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">local media<\/a>, &ldquo;registration statistics released [last month] by&nbsp;the Arizona Secretary of State&nbsp;show 1,562,091 registered Republicans and 1,266,536 registered Democrats, nearly a six-point difference between the two parties.&rdquo; That&rsquo;s roughly 3 points more than the advantage the GOP enjoyed ahead of the 2020 election when Biden won the state by roughly 11,000 votes.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-8e752187f81d3820d92658ca00883cbf fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-8e752187f81d3820d92658ca00883cbf\"><\/div>\n<p>The winner of the state&rsquo;s highly contested Senate race between Democrat Ruben Gallego and Republican Kari Lake is still too close to call. According to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/2024\/11\/05\/us\/elections\/results-arizona.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">preliminary results<\/a>, Gallego leads Lake by 1.5 points, with 87 percent of total votes tabulated.<\/p>\n<p>It also remains unclear which party will assume control of the Arizona State Legislature. As of this article&rsquo;s publication, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/2024\/11\/05\/us\/elections\/results-arizona.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">unfinished results<\/a> show House Republicans with 24 seats, House Democrats with 22 seats, with 14 races yet to be called.
