pets were euthanized to test for rabies after Peanut bit someone involved in the investigation. The results of that test have still not been d, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.usatoday.com\/story\/news\/nation\/2024\/11\/04\/peanut-the-squirrel-mark-longo-new-york-euthanized-pet\/76043660007\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">USA Today<\/a>.)<\/p>\n<p>As for Peanut and Fred, Blumencranz implored Democratic Gov. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.westernjournal.com\/former-top-aide-ny-gov-kathy-hochul-charged-working-chinese-government-agent\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Kathy Hochul<\/a> to &ldquo;take immediate action by launching a thorough investigation into the handling of this case and ensuring accountability.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;It is essential that we work together to safeguard both the welfare of animals and the values we hold as a compassionate society,&rdquo; Blumencranz added.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">I feel so sorry for this guy. And the government comes in, barges into the guy&rsquo;s house, and takes his pets and kills them,&rdquo; the SpaceX mogul told host Joe Rogan.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I think this should this should really get people out there mobilized,&rdquo; Musk added.<\/p>\n<p>Later, Musk said, &ldquo;I hope people just go out there and vote for Peanut, man.
