2,513,864 votes. <\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-aa72820c9a4665d07dca0186e8d34833 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-aa72820c9a4665d07dca0186e8d34833\"><\/div>\n<p>President Joe Biden <a href=\"https:\/\/www.politico.com\/2020-election\/results\/georgia\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">won the state<\/a> in 2020 by 11,779 votes or 0.23 percent.<\/p>\n<p>Trump <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/interactive\/2024\/11\/05\/us\/elections\/results-georgia-president.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">saw his biggest leads<\/a> in Cherokee, Forsyth, Hall, and Paulding counties, while Harris saw large turnout from Fulton and DeKalb counties.<\/p>\n<p>Election data expert Mark Davis tells The Federalist that Trump&rsquo;s victory is the result of a combination of factors.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Trump&rsquo;s Georgia victory is also a victory for the election integrity movement, and we have a long list of people to thank for that, especially in the General Assembly,&rdquo; Davis said. &ldquo;But we cannot and will not rest. We have more to do to ensure free and fair elections Georgia voters can have confidence in.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1d5f7015acf75fbc5c8216eac06af4c8 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-1d5f7015acf75fbc5c8216eac06af4c8\"><\/div>\n<p>The comeback comes despite Democrats&rsquo; last-minute election shenanigans and lawfare efforts against the State Election Board (SEB), which passed a series of rules aimed at <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">ensuring accurate election results<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>The Georgia Supreme Court <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/11\/04\/georgia-supreme-court-rules-democrat-led-county-cant-accept-thousands-of-late-absentee-ballots\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">stepped in<\/a> on Monday after a judge ruled that Democrat-run Cobb County must accept thousands of absentee ballots that were slated to arrive <em>after<\/em> Election Day.<\/p>\n<p>Cobb County was also one of four Democrat-led counties, alongside Fulton, DeKalb, and Gwinnett counties, that extended their in-person drop-off hours for absentee ballots this weekend without having directly informed Republican leaders. Republican <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/11\/03\/georgia-gop-leaders-outraged-after-dem-led-counties-abruptly-extend-ballot-drop-off-deadline\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">leaders told<\/a> The Federalist that, in the absence proper notification, the drop-off sites were unstaffed for hours.<\/p>\n<p>All eyes have been on Georgia&rsquo;s election administration since the glaring irregularities seen in 2020, including in <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/09\/24\/officials-warn-fulton-countys-monitoring-team-isnt-enough-to-fix-election-failures\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Fulton County<\/a>. Four years after the election, the SEB found that the county broke the law during the election when it double-scanned more than 3,000 ballots twice during the recount.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-9ccc4f4e0a04c6efe9b9ca0ff9d51cbe fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-9ccc4f4e0a04c6efe9b9ca0ff9d51cbe\"><\/div>\n<p>Democrats&rsquo; lawfare also <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/10\/23\/ga-supreme-court-wont-hear-gop-appeal-to-reinstate-election-integrity-rules-until-after-election\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">killed a series of rules<\/a> passed by the SEB that were meant to ensure accuracy.
