on Nov. 5, claiming Republican margins will appear greater than they actually are before large numbers of likely-Democrat absentee ballots are counted.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;You&rsquo;re going to see a &lsquo;red mirage,&rsquo; where it seems like Trump is doing better than he actually is, because they haven&rsquo;t counted and reported those absentee ballots yet, then the blue shift when those ballots are introduced to add to the totals &mdash; that could be in the middle of the night. It certainly was in 2020,&rdquo; Wisconsin Democrat Party Chair Ben Wikler said on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=TMQI5gZAoaw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">MSNBC<\/a> on Tuesday.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-402bb33c5096c07fa94dfe685b707786 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-402bb33c5096c07fa94dfe685b707786\"><\/div>\n<p>In 2020, Election Day came to an end with Trump leading the race by &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2020\/11\/04\/yes-democrats-are-trying-to-steal-the-election-in-michigan-wisconsin-and-pennsylvania\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">comfortable margins<\/a>,&rdquo; as The Federalist&rsquo;s John Daniel Davidson wrote. However, early morning ballot dumps the next day in the crucial states of Wisconsin and Michigan somehow &ldquo;showed 100 percent of the votes going for Biden and zero percent &mdash; that&rsquo;s zero, so not even one vote &mdash; for Trump.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Ahead of the 2022 midterms, Democrats and the media sought to normalize concepts like the so-called &ldquo;red mirage,&rdquo; working to, as The Federalist previously noted, &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/abcnews.go.com\/Politics\/late-start-counting-midterm-mail-votes-means-wait\/story?id=91344266\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">prim[e] voters<\/a>&nbsp;to expect GOP gains to evaporate once mail-in and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/pennsylvania-fails-to-resolve-key-election-disputes-ahead-of-2024-voting-washington-examiner\/\" title=\"Pennsylvania fails to resolve key election disputes ahead of 2024 voting- Washington Examiner\">absentee ballots &#038;mdash<\/a>; which skew heavily Democratic &mdash; are counted in the coming days and weeks.&rdquo; <\/p>\n<p>They&rsquo;re perpetuating the same psyop in 2024.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"> <span class=\"aUryT6yHdb7PRTkzMvCm3AhI82eRsfj04GXpYFaEQ2bJOlIvZDoNxlJ3cnXsWqWC1n6xjK95giMBLqASw\"><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\" data-width=\"500\" data-dnt=\"true\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Parts of Brown and Kenosha counties still have to report votes, but as things stand, Biden leads by 0.22 percentage points statewide in Wisconsin, 49.25 percent to 49.03 percent, according to ABC News. <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/Vecl2R1NkA\">https:\/\/t.co\/Vecl2R1NkA<\/a> <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/H5PqcFuiCX\">pic.twitter.com\/H5PqcFuiCX<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; FiveThirtyEight (@FiveThirtyEight) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/FiveThirtyEight\/status\/1323957535628558337?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">November 4, 2020<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script><\/span> <\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>The margin in Wisconsin is currently razor thin, with RealClearPolitics placing Harris 0.4 percent <a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolling.com\/polls\/president\/general\/2024\/wisconsin\/trump-vs-harris\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">ahead<\/a> of former President Donald Trump as of Tuesday.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-d0783271d9c3afb98177435b68b4502b fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-d0783271d9c3afb98177435b68b4502b\"><\/div>\n<p>&ldquo;You won&rsquo;t know the full picture in Wisconsin using statewide numbers until you see those final absentee ballots get counted,&rdquo; Wikler said. &ldquo;It&rsquo;s not over until it&rsquo;s over in Wisconsin.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>MSNBC Host Joe Scarborough also told Americans they should expect a &ldquo;red mirage.&rdquo; Both Scarborough and Wikler blamed the delays on Republican lawmakers for not allowing early processing of absentee ballots.
