Democrats presently hold the majority with nine seats, and Republicans hold six. So far, the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.postguam.com\/news\/1st-set-of-results-released-in-2024-general-election\/article_1a18ff4e-9b89-11ef-b867-332f7d8a4f62.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">results<\/a> have been collected by 18 of the 72 precincts. <\/p>\n<p>While Guam residents don&rsquo;t vote in the U.S. presidential election, they do vote in a straw poll. Vice President Kamala Harris is currently leading voters in the straw poll by capturing 49% of the vote. Meanwhile, former President Donald Trump has captured 46.22% of the votes so far.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><strong><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>However, Harris did not perform as well as President Joe Biden in the straw poll when he was elected president in 2020.
