After months of campaigning, presidential candidates typically stay off the campaign trail on Election Day, instead opting for watch parties in places meaningful to them or low-impact campaign events.<\/p>\n<p>Harris will participate in radio interviews for stations in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/swing-states\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">battleground states<\/a> of Arizona, Georgia, Michigan, Nevada, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin. She will then head to her alma mater, Howard University, in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/washington-dc\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Washington, D.C.,<\/a> for a watch party.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Her running mate, Gov. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/tim-walz\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Tim Walz<\/a> (D-MN), is attending a political event in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, in the morning and will head to Howard in the afternoon for the watch party with Harris.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Trump will spend the day in <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/florida\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Florida<\/a>, where he is a resident. He has said he plans to vote in person on Election Day. He will host a watch party at the Palm Beach Convention Center.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Trump&rsquo;s running mate, Sen. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/j.d.-vance\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">J.D. Vance<\/a> (R-OH), has nothing on his public calendar. He spent Monday with Trump&rsquo;s son Donald Trump Jr., campaigning in some swing states.<\/p>\n<p>It is unclear if Vance plans to join Trump in Florida. The <em>Washington Examiner<\/em> reached out to the Trump campaign for clarification on Vance&rsquo;s Election Day plans.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><strong><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Candidates historically stay off the campaign trail on Election Day or <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">make low-profile campaign stops<\/a>. In 2016, Democratic nominee former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton<a href=\"https:\/\/www.theguardian.com\/us-news\/2016\/nov\/09\/hillary-clinton-us-election-night-reaction\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"> stayed off the campaign trail<\/a> on Election Day, opting to remain in her residential town of Chappaqua, New York. Barack Obama voted in his Chicago neighborhood before traveling to Indiana for a final, low-key campaign stop. He ended up winning Indiana. His opponent, then-Sen.
