So that&rsquo;s a Russian failure. In that case, yeah, it could tip the balance.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/lloyd-austin\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">U.S. Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin<\/a> has warned that the North Korean soldiers are being outfitted with Russian uniforms and weaponry in order to better blend in with its military, a sign that both nations are aware of the alarm their cooperation is raising worldwide.<\/p>\n<p>Herbst asserts that the partnership is both economically and diplomatically advantageous for North Korea, which is finding a seat at the table with other regional powers as it pushes back against U.S. hegemony.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;North Korea and Russia and China and Iran are acting more and more in concert, although on an <em>ad hoc<\/em> basis, driven by an animus against the United States and our allies and partners,&rdquo; Herbst told the <em>Washington<\/em> <em>Examiner<\/em>. &ldquo;It&rsquo;s absolutely clear that the major effort being made against the United States and its allies and partners is Russia&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/quincy-institute-fellow-worries-israeli-lobby-will-scuttle-new-iran-deal\/\" title=\"Quincy Institute Fellow Worries \u2018Israeli Lobby\u2019 Will Scuttle New Iran Deal\">full-scale war<\/a> in Ukraine.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">In this photo taken from video distributed by Russian Defense Ministry Press Service on Wednesday, Oct. 30, 2024, Russian soldiers fire a 152-mm gun Giatsint-B from their position at an undisclosed location in Ukraine. (Russian Defense Ministry Press Service via AP)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>He continued, &ldquo;Russia has been conducting that war from the beginning of at least the big invasion with help &mdash; first of Iran, then North Korea with arms, and of course economically and [technologically] with the help of China.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>While North Korea remains deeply impoverished and relies on outside assistance to maintain its economic engines, the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">hermit kingdom boasts advanced nuclear capabilities<\/a> and missile technology that makes it a valuable ally to its neighbors, Russia and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/china\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">China<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>China has backed away from weighing in on the conflict in recent weeks, stating that Russian-North Korean cooperation is a &ldquo;matter for themselves&rdquo; to sort out.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;We have noted some reports related to this and responses from various parties recently,&rdquo; Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Lin Jian told the press. &ldquo;[North Korea] and Russia are two <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/china-dismisses-north-korean-troops-in-russia-as-a-matter-for-themselves-washington-examiner\/\" title=\"China dismisses North Korean troops in Russia as &#039;a matter for themselves&#039;- Washington Examiner\">independent sovereign states<\/a>, and how to develop bilateral relations is a matter for themselves.
