As such, if this year&rsquo;s elections are a third strike for the former president, Buttigieg said this could allow the Republican Party to &ldquo;finally&rdquo; part ways with Trump.<\/p>\n<p>Trump revealed in September that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/presidential\/3162489\/trump-wont-run-for-president-in-2028-if-he-loses-to-harris\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">he has no plans to run for president again in 2028<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>On Sunday, Lara Trump, the co-chairwoman of the Republican National Committee, said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/presidential\/3214811\/lara-trump-driving-turnout-paramount-2024-election\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">the RNC is focused on pushing voter turnout<\/a> in the remaining hours before Election Day.
