RNC Chairman Michael Whatley \u2062expressed concerns about local Democratic officials&#8217;\u200c actions, specifically\u2063 pointing to Fulton, Cobb, DeKalb, and\u2062 Gwinnett \u2062counties accepting ballots at the last \u2062minute and\u200b allegedly preventing Republican poll observers from monitoring the process. The Secretary of State has issued guidance to allow Republican poll watchers in but local officials REFUSE. Georgia voters demand that the state and courts ensure that these reckless counties administer fair, transparent, and secure elections. Anything less undermines public trust.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The news comes just days ahead of the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/2024-elections\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">2024 presidential election<\/a> between Vice President Kamala Harris and former President Donald Trump. We are calling on state officials to take immediate action to stop this and maintain confidence in Georgia&rsquo;s election integrity. Fulton County&rsquo;s <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">patently illegal acts give<\/a> us no choice but to immediately file suit.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Washington Examiner<\/em> reached out to the Georgia GOP for more details.<\/p>\n<p>In the 2020 election, the deep-blue Fulton County swung for President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/joe-biden\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Joe Biden<\/a>, who secured over 72% of the vote there.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><strong><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>This week, Fulton County, along with other counties, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.appenmedia.com\/news\/fulton-county-keeps-absentee-ballot-dropoffs-open-this-weekend\/article_09faf55a-987c-11ef-ab34-2bf92e3fb25c.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">announced<\/a> that it planned to keep election offices open over the weekend so voters could turn in absentee ballots in-person. Voters also were permitted to use drop boxes to turn in their ballots without human contact.<\/p>\n<p>In 2020, Trump lost to Biden in Georgia by just around 12,000 votes; Georgia is again a key battleground state in 2024.<\/p>\n<p><em>This is a developing story.
