Following Trump&#8217;s remarks, Vice President Kamala Harris and various <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">media outlets accused<\/a> him \u2063of inciting violence against \u2063Cheney. Trump had controversially suggested that Cheney should experience being in a dangerous position herself, stating, &#8220;Let\u2019s\u2063 put her with a rifle, standing there with nine barrels \u2064shooting at her.&#8221; In a subsequent interview with Fox &#038; Friends Weekend, Trump defended his statements, asserting that the media misrepresented his criticism of Cheney \u200bas a call for violence, insisting that he was merely \u2063pointing out\u2064 her hawkish stance on military engagements.
