Specifically, 48% of Gen Z <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">respondents reported dishonesty<\/a> regarding their votes, making them the\u200d most likely demographic to do so. In comparison, around 25% of voters\u200d across all age groups confessed to lying about their voting choices, with Millennials close behind at \u206238%. Comparatively, nearly 1 in 4 voters said they have lied overall. Millennial voters were the second most likely age group to lie, with 38%. Only 6% of baby boomers and older said they have lied about their vote.<\/p>\n<p>Gen Z voters began to vote in presidential elections starting in 2016 when the highly polarizing former President Donald Trump first ran.<\/p>\n<p>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/asian-american-activists-blast-bidens-pandering-anti-racism-order\/\" title=\"Asian-American Activists Blast Biden\u2019s \u2018Pandering\u2019 Anti-Racism Order\">poll found<\/a> that 44% of Gen Z citizens and 47% of millennials said they weren&rsquo;t close to some family members because of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/half-of-gen-z-said-theyve-lied-about-who-theyre-voting-for-washington-examiner\/\" title=\"Half of Gen Z said they&#039;ve lied about who they&#039;re voting for - Washington Examiner\">opposing political beliefs<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;There&rsquo;s a new privacy emerging here, where it&rsquo;s far more convenient to either lie or not talk about it,&rdquo; said John Gerzema, CEO of The Harris Poll.<\/p>\n<p>Gerzema suggested that since young people in the United States have been raised on smartphones and social media, they lack the proper social skills to address conflict or differing opinions.
