Deb Fischer (R-NE), paid $7,500 on Oct. 16 to Call to Activism for &ldquo;digital marketing,&rdquo; according to Federal Election Commission <a href=\"https:\/\/docquery.fec.gov\/pdf\/455\/202410249710403455\/202410249710403455.pdf#page=4208\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">filings<\/a> reviewed by the <em>Washington Examiner<\/em>. The Maryland-based <a href=\"https:\/\/www.calltoactivism.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">firm<\/a> calls itself &ldquo;one of the most far-reaching voices in progressive politics&rdquo; and runs a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.losefoxnews.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">website<\/a> called &ldquo;Lose Fox News.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>But, according to Facebook posts, Call to Activism also has another pastime: The Osborn-approved firm has a soft spot for taking aim at people of the Christian faith, including for supporting former President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/donald-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Donald Trump<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I can&rsquo;t respect any Christian who follows the least Christ-like person in the world,&rdquo; one <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Screenshot-2024-10-24-at-9.26.58%E2%80%AFPM.webp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">post<\/a> from Call to Activism, sent out on Sept. 16, reads. Another Call to Activism Facebook <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Screenshot-2024-10-24-at-9.29.42%E2%80%AFPM.webp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">post<\/a> from September asked, &ldquo;Why bother displaying the Ten Commandments in schools, if you&rsquo;re just going to teach children to follow someone who has broken almost all of them?&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Attention Evangelicals&hellip;&rdquo; Call to Activism <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Screenshot-2024-10-24-at-9.32.03%E2%80%AFPM.webp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">wrote<\/a> on Facebook on Aug. 22. &ldquo;The voice calling him the chosen one isn&rsquo;t your God. Take your meds.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>News of Osborn&rsquo;s $7,500 payment to Call to Activism could become a liability for the candidate, who has faced scrutiny from Republicans <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/3163992\/pac-targeting-republican-swamp-ties-dark-money\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">for framing himself<\/a> as an independent while <a href=\"https:\/\/freebeacon.com\/elections\/socialist-operatives-fueled-the-rise-of-independent-nebraska-senate-candidate-dan-osborn-financial-disclosures-show\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">hiring<\/a> far-left staffers and being <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/3196588\/nebraska-senate-candidate-dan-osborn-pledged-sell-vote\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">boosted<\/a> by Democratic megadonors. <\/p>\n<p>Moreover, the revelation comes on the heels of President Joe Biden likening Trump supporters to &ldquo;garbage,&rdquo; the GOP for trying to take us backward!&rdquo; <\/p>\n<p>The firm often refers to Trump supporters as members of a &ldquo;cult,&rdquo; has criticized Christian pastors, and said Christians do not &ldquo;understand the difference between fact and fiction.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;If church pastors can use their pulpits to preach politics, they can use their collection plates to pay taxes,&rdquo; Call to Activism <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Screenshot-2024-10-24-at-9.29.20%E2%80%AFPM.webp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">said<\/a> in a Sept. 8 post. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Hey, did you see where Joel Osteen and all the other <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">mega-church personalities gave millions<\/a> of dollars and did everything they could to help the people suffering because of Hurricane Helene?&rdquo; Call to Activism <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Screenshot-2024-10-24-at-9.25.09%E2%80%AFPM.webp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">posted<\/a> on Facebook on Oct. 3. &ldquo;Me neither&hellip;&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>In one Oct. 16 <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Screenshot-2024-10-24-at-9.18.45%E2%80%AFPM.webp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">post<\/a>, Call to Activism declared, &ldquo;Only someone deep in a cult could live in a trailer park and still think it&rsquo;s a good idea to send money to a guy with a mansion on a Florida golf course and a gold penthouse in Manhattan.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Understanding the separation of church and state is hard for those who can&rsquo;t understand the difference between fact and fiction,&rdquo; Call to Activism said in a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Screenshot-2024-10-30-at-10.44.57%E2%80%AFAM.webp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">post<\/a> this week.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Screenshot of a Call to Activism Facebook post on Oct. 16, 2024.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>In a statement to the <em>Washington Examiner<\/em>, the Fischer campaign said Osborn &ldquo;has no respect for Nebraska values.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;He&rsquo;ll say one thing to please his Democrat handlers, then turn around and lie to Nebraskans about being a pro-life, God-fearing conservative,&rdquo; Fischer spokesman Derek Oden said. &ldquo;But the receipts show who Dan Osborn really is: a liberal Democrat.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><strong><\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>Last week, Call to Activism <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2024\/10\/Screenshot-2024-10-30-at-10.48.13%E2%80%AFAM.webp\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">said<\/a> in a Facebook post, &ldquo;If you&rsquo;re pushing to display the Ten Commandments in schools while removing free lunches, it might be time to go to Bible study and learn what Jesus actually taught.&rdquo; The firm has been boosting Osborn on social media, <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/CalltoActivism\/status\/1851371916453404863\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">writing<\/a> on X on Tuesday, &ldquo;Dan Osborn is on track to make this the upset of the decade!! He is tied in deep red Nebraska and can win this race! Let&rsquo;s get him over the edge!&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The Osborn campaign did not respond to a request for comment.
