The Miami-Dade Elections Department released a <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/MDCElections\/status\/1851289333556265101\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">statement<\/a> saying the incident was due to &ldquo;human error&rdquo; and that none of the ballots were tampered with.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/live-blog\/2024-election-campaign-live-updates-harris-trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><strong>2024 ELECTIONS LIVE UPDATES: LATEST NEWS ON THE TRUMP-HARRIS PRESIDENTIAL RACE<\/strong><\/a><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;The worker forgot to lock the back of the truck, and as they drove off, one sealed bin and one sealed bag fell out,&rdquo; Christina White, the county&rsquo;s elections supervisor, said Tuesday morning.<\/p>\n<p>The incident happened between 9:30 p.m. and 10 p.m. The county worker driving the truck did not immediately stop after the ballots fell out. Another driver passing by the scene retrieved the containers, according to a video from Only in Dade.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Last night, an individual came across a box full of ballots and other documents on exit 11 of the Turnpike, at the intersection of 211th St. in Cutler Bay. White told the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.miamiherald.com\/news\/local\/community\/miami-dade\/article294708189.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\"><em>Miami Herald<\/em><\/a>. &ldquo;Thankfully, this was observed in real-time by upstanding citizens who did the right thing and turned the bin and bag into the police department,&rdquo;
