Zito predicts \u2063that Harris&#8217;s portrayal of\u200d former President Donald Trump as a &#8220;fascist,&#8221; reminiscent of Nazi leader Adolf Hitler, will fail to resonate with voters. With just over a\u200d week until Election Day, she points out that Trump holds a slight lead in the polls. Zito argues\u2062 that <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">effective closing messages tend<\/a> to be aspirational, suggesting that voters are more inspired \u2063by optimistic\u200b visions of the future rather than dark warnings of impending threats. Meanwhile, a&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.realclearpolling.com\/polls\/president\/general\/2024\/trump-vs-harris\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><em>RealClearPolitics<\/em>&nbsp;<\/a>poll average from Monday morning showed Trump has a 0.1-point lead, which slipped in the days following this name-calling.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;What [Harris&rsquo;s] challenge is in a closing message what tends to work best for voters is something aspirational. &lsquo;I am going to take you to a better place,&#8217;&rdquo; Zito said on Fox News&rsquo;s <em>Sunday Night in America with Trey Gowdy<\/em>. &ldquo;Both [Harris] and both former President [Barack] Obama and First Lady Michelle Obama have made this a very dark sort of message of &lsquo;something very wicked this way is coming.&rsquo; I don&rsquo;t know that appeals to a voter that is looking to get across the finish line for Harris.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<div style=\"width: 100%; max-width: 640px; max-height: 360px; min-width: 320px; min-height: 180px; overflow: hidden;\">\n<div style=\"position: relative; width: 100%; padding-top: 56.25%;\"><iframe src=\"https:\/\/share.grabien.com\/share.php?id=2666208&amp;userid=11311&amp;loginid=10455&amp;playercolor=%23000000&amp;playersize=auto&amp;code=765f68749f921d42674a999df95eb981\" style=\"position: absolute; top: 0px; left: 0px; width: 100%; height: 100%; border: 0px;\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/div>\n<\/div>\n<p>Harris has only been on the campaign trail since July when President Joe Biden abruptly decided not to run for reelection.
