Not much happened in his office this week other than a notable flub while giving a speech that included an apology to Native Americans for the country&rsquo;s scandalous treatment of young schoolchildren.<\/p>\n<p>The election fight between Harris and former President Donald Trump remains even closer than the week before, with several new polls showing a dead heat. There is a sense that Trump has momentum, but pollster John Zogby warned not to bank on that.<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">Israel has launched its military response to Iran and Kamala is with Beyonce, Biden is headed to Delaware. The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/hunter-biden-defector-emails-pipeline-to-obama-admin-seen-as-currency\/\" title=\"Hunter Biden Defector Emails: &#039;Pipeline&#039; to Obama Admin Seen as &#039;Currency&#039;\">vice president<\/a> and president are dangerously unserious people.<\/p>\n<p>&mdash; Mark R. Levin (@marklevinshow) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/marklevinshow\/status\/1849973565132767581?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 26, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script data-cfasync=\"false\" src=\"http:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/cdn-cgi\/scripts\/5c5dd728\/cloudflare-static\/email-decode.min.js\"><\/script><script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>    <\/p>\n<p>For his part, Zogby graded the week a &ldquo;C&rdquo; and asked of Harris, &ldquo;Does she really have momentum?&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Conservative analyst Jed Babbin graded his regular &ldquo;F&rdquo; and highlighted Biden&rsquo;s disappearance.<\/p>\n<p><strong>John Zogby<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Grade: C<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>Two new polls out late this week are very suggestive.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The first shows that among those voters who made up their minds a month ago or more, former President <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/Donald-Trump\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Donald Trump<\/a> leads Vice President Kamala Harris 52%-48%. But among those who have made up their minds just in the last few weeks, Harris is ahead 62%-36%. Given that the latter group is smaller, we can see the closeness of the race. Does she really have momentum, and will it last the next 10 days?<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The other poll shows that while the gender gap among all voters is a very high 30 points, it is 60 points among young voters. A stark finding that has many more possible consequences beyond this election.<\/em><\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-video is-provider-youtube wp-block-embed-youtube wp-embed-aspect-16-9 wp-has-aspect-ratio\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\"> <iframe loading=\"lazy\" title=\"The Zogby Report | 10.25.24 - Who Will Be The Late Breaking Decision Makers\" width=\"696\" height=\"392\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/tEwVNYEKlTY?feature=oembed\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; clipboard-write; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture; web-share\" referrerpolicy=\"strict-origin-when-cross-origin\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe> <\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p><em>Harris is getting a lot of criticism for focusing on personal attacks against Trump, but she has the support of an unholy alliance of mainstream <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/Democrats\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Democrats<\/a>, progressives, and disaffected conservative <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/Republicans\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Republicans<\/a>. The only glue holding them together is fear of Trump. It will be difficult to project a common vision and statement of policy among these divergent groups.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>At this point, this pollster&rsquo;s balls are made of brass, not crystal.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><strong>Jed Babbin<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\">Grade: F<\/span><\/p>\n<p><em>It was a relatively quiet week for the Biden crew and Vice President Kamala Harris&rsquo;s campaign, the difference between the two being nonexistent. There were a few things to liven it up despite Harris taking a day or so off from campaigning.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The interest on our national debt &mdash; what we have to pay those the $34 trillion is borrowed from &mdash; exceeds $1 trillion. That&rsquo;s more than the entire defense budget. It&rsquo;s money down the drain, like rent.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>There was no condemnation of the Hezbollah&nbsp;&mdash; or Iranian &mdash; assassination attempt against Israeli Prime Minister <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/Benjamin-Netanyahu\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Benjamin Netanyahu<\/a>. That silence is a condemnation of both Harris and President Joe Biden. Meanwhile, Defense Secretary Lloyd Austin (who?) wouldn&rsquo;t say whether Netanyahu was a reliable ally.<\/em><\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p lang=\"en\" dir=\"ltr\">WATCH &ndash; Confused Biden spirals out of control, then blurts &#8220;Nothing wrong with me.&#8221;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;An to the Hee-la&hellip; Indian River Community, errra, rrrrr, the heely, the <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">heel-uh uh&#038;hellip<\/a>; Nothing wrong with me.&rdquo; <a href=\"https:\/\/t.co\/KQc80qrjAT\">pic.twitter.com\/KQc80qrjAT<\/a><\/p>\n<p>&mdash; The First (@TheFirstonTV) <a href=\"https:\/\/twitter.com\/TheFirstonTV\/status\/1849906279621300250?ref_src=twsrc%5Etfw\">October 25, 2024<\/a><\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p> <script async src=\"https:\/\/platform.twitter.com\/widgets.js\" charset=\"utf-8\"><\/script>    <\/p>\n<p><em>An inspector general&rsquo;s report said that military supplies we sent to Taiwan were inoperable, some even so old that they were moldy. Great ally us.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>The highlight of the week was Harris comparing Trump to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/Hitler\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"\">Adolf Hitler<\/a> and Biden saying we need to lock Trump up. All this smacks of panic in the Harris campaign.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em>To top it all off, Harris said she would oppose any religious exceptions to a federal abortion law. That&rsquo;s a huge slap at Catholics. Not that Harris cares.
