The complaint, initiated in Maryland, \u200cclaims that McMahon and his wife, Linda, were aware of the abuses conducted by a former WWE crew chief,\u2063 Melvin Phillips \u2064Jr., from the 1970s to the 1990s. The allegations include that Phillips groomed and sexually abused boys as young as \u200c12, and that McMahon acknowledged Phillips&#8217;s &#8220;peculiar \u2064and unnatural interest&#8221; in young boys as\u2062 early as the 1980s. <\/p>\n<p>The plaintiffs&#8217; legal team asserts there may be many other victims, spurred to come forward by the recent revelations of WWE&#8217;s knowledge of past abuses. We will vigorously defend Mr. McMahon and are confident the court will find that these claims are untrue and unfounded,&rdquo; Rosenberg said.<\/p>\n<p>USA Today reported, &ldquo;In 1992, Phillips and the then-WWF were under federal investigation for <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/watch-democrat-congressman-uses-national-guard-in-apparent-political-stunt-against-gop-member\/\" title=\"WATCH: Democrat Congressman Uses National Guard In Apparent \u2018Political Stunt\u2019 Against GOP Member\">inappropriate sexual relations<\/a> with underage boys after a former <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">ring boy publicly spoke<\/a> about the alleged abuse.
