However, they have faced obstacles from the state&#8217;s Secretary\u200b of State, Cisco Aguilar, who has \u200bissued memos that appear \u200dto hinder the COF&#8217;s efforts. A significant incident \u2063occurred on\u200d August 27 when Aguilar&#8217;s <a href=\"https:\/\/amzn.to\/3YuVZYV\">office directed local election officials<\/a> to stop processing COF&#8217;s affidavits, leading to the group filing lawsuits to compel compliance. Though these suits were withdrawn due to technical issues, \u2062Muth plans to re-file them after the 2024 elections. To validate its claims, the COF mailed confirmation letters to\u200d individuals from their challenge list, resulting in \u200bover 300 responses from people confirming their moves and requesting removal\u200b from the voter rolls, providing clear\u200b evidence of the need for cleaner voter registration practices in Nevada.  <\/p>\n<p class=\"readmore\">\n    <button onclick=\"showReadMore()\" id=\"readmorebtn\">Read more&#8230;<\/button>\n<\/p>\n<hr id=\"line\">\n<span id=\"more\"><\/p>\n<div>\n<p>More than 300 individuals listed on Nevada&rsquo;s voter rolls confirmed they have moved and should not be on the state&rsquo;s active voter lists, according to a new report.<\/p>\n<p>The revelation was disclosed in a <a href=\"https:\/\/pigpenproject.com\/blog\/bombshell-report-pigpen-project-proves-nevada-voter-rolls-remain-filthy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Friday article<\/a> authored by Citizen Outreach Foundation (COF) President Chuck Muth, whose <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/07\/09\/pigpen-project-puts-boots-on-the-ground-to-expose-nevadas-dirty-voter-rolls\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Pigpen Project<\/a> has been spearheading efforts to remove potentially ineligible registrants from the Silver State&rsquo;s voter registration lists. The group utilizes government data to identify these questionable registrations and works with local election officials to ensure accuracy within the voter roll system. <\/p>\n<p>While often seeking guidance on its challenges from Democrat Secretary of State Cisco Aguilar, the COF has faced roadblocks erected by Nevada&rsquo;s elections chief and his office. Throughout the past year, the secretary has <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/09\/12\/nevada-activists-blast-elections-chief-for-trying-to-discourage-and-impede-legitimate-voter-roll-challenges\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">issued memos<\/a> to local clerks seemingly aimed at stymying the group&rsquo;s efforts to ensure the state has clean voter rolls.<\/p>\n<p>The situation came to a head on Aug. 27, when Aguilar&rsquo;s office issued a directive effectively <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/09\/12\/nevada-activists-blast-elections-chief-for-trying-to-discourage-and-impede-legitimate-voter-roll-challenges\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">instructing<\/a> local election officials to stop processing the COF&rsquo;s affidavits. This prompted the group to file <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/09\/23\/lawsuit-nevada-clerks-are-failing-to-process-challenges-to-voter-rolls\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">lawsuits<\/a> last month that sought to force clerks and registrars to comply with their challenges.<\/p>\n<p>While the suits were withdrawn due to technical issues, Muth <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/10\/24\/grassroots-group-vows-to-refile-lawsuits-aiming-to-keep-nevadas-voter-rolls-clean\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">told<\/a> The Federalist earlier this week he intends to re-file them after the 2024 general election. <\/p>\n<p>To further prove the validity of its efforts, Muth detailed in his Friday <a href=\"https:\/\/pigpenproject.com\/blog\/bombshell-report-pigpen-project-proves-nevada-voter-rolls-remain-filthy\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">post<\/a> how the COF &ldquo;created [its] own &lsquo;confirmation letter&rsquo; and mailed it to a test group that was pulled from the exact same list of challenges [it] had filed previously.&rdquo; These letters, the COF president noted, &ldquo;advised the voter that &lsquo;it appears your Nevada voter registration information might be incorrect,&rsquo; and included a copy of the official &lsquo;Request for Removal of Name from Voting Records&rsquo; form for them to fill out if, in fact, they moved and were no longer eligible to vote in Nevada.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Having previously faced headwinds when dealing with Aguilar and his office, COF members included a &ldquo;self-addressed envelope&rdquo; to have the letters returned to the Pigpen Project. <\/p>\n<p>According to Muth, the group received more than 300 returned letters in one day, in which individuals confirmed they have moved and requested to be removed from Nevada&rsquo;s voter rolls. <\/p>\n<p>The secretary and our critics &ldquo;are not going to be able to say that our data is not reliable [or that] the people that we&rsquo;re challenging haven&rsquo;t moved, because now we&rsquo;ve got proof,&rdquo; Muth told The Federalist. <\/p>\n<p>A returned and completed form included in the COF president&rsquo;s article shows a registrant (whose name and address are redacted) indicating he previously alerted election officials he was moving and is therefore ineligible to vote at the address associated with his file.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;How many times do I have to let you know I moved?&rdquo; the person wrote. <\/p>\n<p>Muth described responses from other individuals who returned the form to the COF, one of whom purportedly said her registered son &ldquo;moved overseas and will not be voting in Nevada.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I realize that you cannot remove his name from the Clark County records at my request, but I wanted there to be an accounting for him,&rdquo; she reportedly wrote in a letter accompanying the returned form. &ldquo;If anyone votes under his name and old address, it would be a fraudulent vote. Just one of the reasons I am against voting by mail.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Unlike most states, Nevada <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/10\/10\/the-federalists-2024-battleground-state-elections-guide\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">automatically<\/a> mails individuals listed on the state&rsquo;s &ldquo;active&rdquo; registration lists a ballot during each election unless the registrant opts out.<\/p>\n<p>Muth told The Federalist the returned letters further undercut Aguilar&rsquo;s prior remarks <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nvsos.gov\/sos\/Home\/Components\/News\/News\/3510\/309?backlist=%2fsos%2fhome\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">touting<\/a> the transparency and security of Nevada&rsquo;s elections. <\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;They botched this thing,&rdquo; Muth said. &ldquo;The voter rolls are still dirty. We know it, and now we can prove it because the voters themselves are telling us, &ldquo;Yeah, you identified us correctly.
