Now, the unfavorable views are dominant by 8 percentage points, 53 percent to 45 percent.

“Moreover, voters give Harris her worst job rating as vice president in the three times the Journal has asked about it since July, with 42 percent approving and 54 percent disapproving of her performance.

“By contrast, views of Trump have turned rosier.”

It’s not a coincidence that, as voters have gotten to know Trump and Harris better, views are swinging into Trump’s favor.

Whatever one may think of the former president, it’s impossible to deny that what you see is what you get with Trump. He’s a fast-food loving, red-blooded, tough-talking, fight-loving New Yorker. Warts and all, there’s an authenticity to Trump that Harris simply does not have.

But even if Trump were as inauthentic as Harris, at least he’s cogent enough to relay his policies — which voters generally approve of.

“Moreover, voters give Trump a solid edge in most cases when asked about the candidates’ agendas and policies,” the report stated.

Look, this election is far from over. By hook or crook, this is shaping up to be a tight race come Nov. 5.

But one needn’t think back that far — at all — to start waxing nostalgic about simpler and better times.

One candidate knows how to connect with those longing voters and can deliver the message about those better times.

The other? That year, several prominent Democrats competed for the 2020 presidential nomination, which ultimately went to incumbent President Joe Biden during the party primaries. Each candidate, from Bernie Sanders to Tulsi Gabbard, made efforts to connect with and appeal to potential voters with varying degrees of success. Among those considered serious contenders, Kamala Harris’s primary campaign is often viewed as one of the least successful; she withdrew before the Iowa caucuses following some poor debate performances.

Fast forward five years: a recent Wall Street Journal report indicates that voters are once again growing disenchanted with Harris as they become more familiar with her—especially in contrast to her main political opponent, former President Donald Trump. The Journal noted that Trump has gained a slight lead in the race as public perception of his agenda improves while views on Harris have soured.

Despite this being potentially good news for Trump, it’s important to note that his lead falls within polling margins of error—meaning either candidate could be ahead. Even if it’s effectively a tie at this point, it poses challenges for Harris who has had limited time campaigning after stepping in for Biden in late July. Additionally, she has been hesitant about media appearances until recently engaging on platforms like “Call Her Daddy.” However, according to Wall Street Journal polling data, this media push might be backfiring since voters are finding her less likable over time.

The issue seems rooted in how difficult it is for people to truly understand her political stance; they appear inconsistent and self-serving depending on what suits her interests at any given moment. This lack of authenticity is evident after two attempts at running for office where she seems unable to present anything beyond superficial charm and misleading narratives.

The survey suggests negative advertising and candidates’ performances have tarnished any positive impressions voters initially had when she became the presumed Democratic nominee after Biden stepped aside. Since August alone, unfavorable opinions about Harris have increased by eight percentage points compared to favorable ones.

In contrast, Trump’s image appears more favorable as voters get better acquainted with him; he presents himself authentically—a tough-talking New Yorker who embraces his flaws openly—while many feel Harris lacks that same genuineness despite being able enough politically articulate policies that resonate positively with many voters.

As we approach November 5th elections still far from settled yet shaping up tightly contested between candidates who connect differently with their audiences—one knows how best reach out while another struggles significantly

[3728,15698,10423,3634,4223
post-2359062","post","type-post","status-publish","format-standard","has-post-thumbnail","hentry","tag-election","tag-polling","tag-presidency","tag-trump","tag-voters
["GET
