Gabbard expressed pride in her decision, stating that she\u200c believes Trump is \u200dtransforming the GOP into a party that\u200c advocates for peace and the interests of the people. She criticized the Democratic Party as &#8220;unrecognizable,&#8221; particularly denouncing Vice President Kamala \u2064Harris and former Republican Representative Liz Cheney for their positions and actions.
