return false;\" title=\"Printer Friendly, PDF &amp; Email\"><span id=\"printfriendly-text2\" class=\"pf-button-text\"><i class=\"mdi mdi-printer\" aria-hidden=\"true\"><\/i><\/span><\/a><\/span><\/li>\n<\/ul><\/div>\n<p>On Tuesday, Kamala Harris voiced opposition to providing religious exemptions in any federal legislation legalizing abortion nationwide in the event that such legislation is brought to her desk as president.<\/p>\n<p>The moment came during the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/carson-points-out-that-every-democratic-plan-has-backfired-in-trumps-favor-as-seen-in-the-bible-2\/\" title=\"Carson points out that every Democratic plan has backfired in Trump&#039;s favor, as seen in the Bible\">vice president&#038;rsquo<\/a>;s <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nbcnews.com\/now\/video\/harris-full-interview-absolutely-the-country-is-ready-for-a-woman-president-222411845750\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">sit-down interview<\/a> with NBC News&rsquo; Hallie Jackson. The network anchor asked Harris how she would advance baby-killing legislation at the federal level if elected president and Republicans control both chambers of Congress. Jackson also asked if she would be willing to make any &ldquo;concessions&rdquo; to get any prospective bill to her desk. <\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-98543d17dc2ea5eb7fe939fb763f4800 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-2\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-98543d17dc2ea5eb7fe939fb763f4800\"><\/div>\n<p>Instead of answering the question, the Democrat presidential nominee pivoted to attacking President Donald Trump for appointing three U.S. Supreme Court justices who voted to overturn <em>Roe v. Wade<\/em>. She also falsely characterized the murder of unborn children as an issue of &ldquo;freedom.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I know that there are members of the United States Congress who are well aware that their constituents are in favor of the very fundamental principle that a woman should be able to make decisions about her own body and not have her government tell her what to do,&rdquo; Harris said while ignoring how abortion denies the unborn children the ability to &ldquo;make decisions&rdquo; about their bodies.<\/p>\n<p>Jackson followed up by again asking Harris what &ldquo;concessions&rdquo; she&rsquo;d be willing to make with a Republican-controlled Congress. The NBC host specifically queried if &ldquo;religious exemptions&rdquo; were &ldquo;something [Harris] would consider.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I don&rsquo;t think we should be making concessions when we&rsquo;re talking about a fundamental freedom to make decisions about your own body,&rdquo; Harris <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TrumpWarRoom\/status\/1848843034013618678\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">said<\/a>.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-df1344c5319034bd575006adf517efa1 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-6\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-df1344c5319034bd575006adf517efa1\"><\/div>\n<p>Jackson again probed the Democrat presidential nominee, asking if she would be willing to offer an &ldquo;olive branch&rdquo; to moderate GOP senators to get a bill that would legalize baby-killing at the federal level passed.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;I&rsquo;m not gonna engage in hypotheticals,&rdquo; Harris said, adding that the issue is &ldquo;non-negotiable.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>As <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/TPCarney\/status\/1848847777742373309\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">noted<\/a> by Washington Examiner Senior Political Columnist Tim Carney, Harris is seemingly endorsing the weaponization of the federal government to &ldquo;force Catholic Hospitals to abort babies [and] force religious employers to cover abortion.&rdquo; <\/p>\n<p>The vice president&rsquo;s position is unsurprising given the Biden-Harris administration&rsquo;s open hostility toward and targeting of conservative Christians.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-db48aa7e86b6cc5b07777e60a305c967 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-db48aa7e86b6cc5b07777e60a305c967\"><\/div>\n<p>In October 2022, the Department of Justice <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/01\/30\/dad-of-11-convicted-for-praying-at-abortion-facility-alongside-5-other-pro-lifers-targeted-by-doj\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">charged<\/a>&nbsp;six pro-lifers under the&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2022\/10\/28\/the-face-act-is-unconstitutional-its-past-time-congress-got-rid-of-it\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">unconstitutional Freedom of Access to Clinic Entrances (FACE) Act<\/a> for peacefully praying, reading the Bible, and singing hymns in the hallway of a Nashville abortion facility. These individuals were later <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/01\/30\/dad-of-11-convicted-for-praying-at-abortion-facility-alongside-5-other-pro-lifers-targeted-by-doj\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">convicted<\/a> by a federal jury in January. <\/p>\n<p>But the weaponization of government to go after Christians didn&rsquo;t stop there. <\/p>\n<p>In January 2023, the Biden-Harris FBI issued a memo revealing that the agency&rsquo;s field office in Richmond, Virginia, was tasked with investigating the alleged threat of &ldquo;white supremacy&rdquo; among Catholics who attend Latin Mass. As Evita Duffy-Alfonso previously&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/02\/09\/fbi-retracts-memo-labeling-traditional-catholics-violent-white-supremacists-pushing-infiltration-of-christian-communities\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">wrote<\/a>&nbsp;in these pages, the memo said the FBI &ldquo;may potentially mitigate&rdquo; the supposed &ldquo;threat&rdquo; of &ldquo;Radical-Traditionalist Catholics&rdquo; with &ldquo;&lsquo;tripwire and source development,&rsquo; which means further infiltration into Catholic communities using various kinds of informants.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>While FBI Director Christopher Wray&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/justice\/fbi-memo-targeting-catholic-group-went-beyond-richmond\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">claimed<\/a>&nbsp;during congressional testimony that the memo was &ldquo;a single product by a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/fbi-director-says-he-was-aghast-at-agency-memo-targeting-radical-traditionalist-catholics\/\" title=\"FBI Director shocked by memo targeting &#039;Radical Traditionalist Catholics&#039;.\">single field office<\/a>,&rdquo; House Republicans later&nbsp;<a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2023\/08\/09\/unredacted-fbi-memo-contradicts-christopher-wrays-claim-only-a-single-field-office-targeted-traditional-catholics\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">uncovered<\/a>&nbsp;that multiple FBI field offices were involved in the document&rsquo;s creation, including those in Los Angeles and Portland.<\/p>\n<p>The Biden-Harris Federal Trade Commission and Education Department have also <a href=\"https:\/\/www.foxbusiness.com\/politics\/ftc-sues-largest-christian-university-u-s-deceptive-advertising\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">targeted<\/a> the largest Christian college in America. <\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-4ba71e0b28d19081718fa4a2ee371755 fdrlst__b89e9-after-post-content\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-4ba71e0b28d19081718fa4a2ee371755\"><\/div>\n<hr class=\"wp-block-separator\">\n<div class=\"article-author-description fst-italic\">      Shawn Fleetwood is a staff writer for The Federalist and a graduate of the University of Mary Washington.
