YES or NO,&rdquo; Musk <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/elonmusk\/status\/1848373693589643725\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">replied<\/a> to Benson on Oct. 21. According to census <a href=\"https:\/\/www.census.gov\/programs-surveys\/decennial-census\/about\/voting-rights\/cvap.html\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">data<\/a>, the state only had 7.63 million citizens of voting age as of 2022.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>And while Benson <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/JocelynBenson\/status\/1847833824039678315\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">emphasized<\/a> the state has 7.2 million &ldquo;active&rdquo; registered voters while responding to Musk, the state has <a href=\"https:\/\/mvic.sos.state.mi.us\/votercount\/index\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">8.44 million<\/a> total registered voters, according to the secretary&rsquo;s own website. So considering Michigan has 7.63 million citizens of voting age, but 8.<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/conservative-yoon-suk-yeol-wins-south-korea-presidential-election\/\" title=\"Conservative Yoon Suk-yeol Wins South Korea Presidential Election\">44 million registered voters<\/a>, the state&rsquo;s registrations are 110 percent of those eligible to vote.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Benson also <a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/JocelynBenson\/status\/1847833824039678315\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">claimed<\/a> that 1.2 million inactive records are slated for removal. But Angela Benander, Benson&rsquo;s director of communications, recently told Bridge Michigan that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bridgemi.com\/michigan-government\/michigan-voter-rolls-inflated-500k-state-says-its-no-issue-gop-disagrees\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">606,800<\/a> inactive registrations were slated to be removed by 2027. And the number on Benson&rsquo;s website is even fewer &mdash; slightly less than <a href=\"https:\/\/mvic.sos.state.mi.us\/votercount\/index\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">597,000<\/a> total, between registrations set to be removed in 2025 and 2027. This webpage includes the &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.michigan.gov\/sos\/~\/link.aspx?_id=0CA77C36E2D44E0DBCAB875DE164507F&amp;_z=z\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">total number<\/a> of inactive voter registrations to be cancelled in future years.&rdquo;&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Either way, these efforts to clean the rolls would still not fully reconcile Michigan&rsquo;s number of registered voters &mdash; 8.44 million &mdash; with the apparent citizens of voting age population &mdash; 7.63 million. But when Benson cited the voting age population, falsely claiming it was <em>citizens<\/em> of voting age, she made the state seem closer to reconciling its <a href=\"https:\/\/thefederalist.com\/2024\/03\/13\/michigan-has-more-registered-voters-than-eligible-citizens-in-53-counties-says-rnc-lawsuit\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">bloated<\/a> voter rolls than in reality.<\/p>\n<div class=\"fdrlst__b89e9-6865a4a0566cef16e2d38e01a4aa9e06 fdrlst__b89e9-paragraph-10\" id=\"fdrlst__b89e9-6865a4a0566cef16e2d38e01a4aa9e06\"><\/div>\n<p>So when Benson claimed Musk was spreading &ldquo;disinformation&rdquo; for asking a question, she was apparently spreading &ldquo;disinformation.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Margot Cleveland, senior legal correspondent for The Federalist, posted on X Tuesday that the exchange between Musk and Benson will allow the truth to prevail.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;Truth will rise from X above ashes of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/who-is-j-d-vance-dont-expect-the-corrupt-media-to-tell-you\/\" title=\"Who Is J.D. Vance? This is but one example.
