The products have been widely distributed across the U.S. and Canada to Albertson&rsquo;s, Aldi, Dollar General, Harris Teeter, Kroger, Publix, Tops, Target, and Walmart. (TreeHouse Foods, Inc. via AP)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>No illnesses have been reported that are linked to the TreeHouse Foods recall.<\/p>\n<p>The original recall of the frozen waffle products was made on Friday after a routine testing of a manufacturing facility in Ontario. After detecting listeria, additional testing found that the bacteria could have contaminated more products. None of the company&rsquo;s other plants have been affected.<\/p>\n<p>Listeria infections can cause serious and sometimes fatal problems in young children, elderly people, or those with weakened immune systems. Fever, muscle aches, confusion, loss of balance, headache, stiff neck, vomiting, diarrhea, and convulsions are all symptoms of the disease. It also harms pregnant women and can cause birth defects and stillbirths. It can take a few days to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mayoclinic.org\/diseases-conditions\/listeria-infection\/symptoms-causes\/syc-20355269\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>well <\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/www.mayoclinic.org\/diseases-conditions\/listeria-infection\/symptoms-causes\/syc-20355269\" title>over a month<\/a> for symptoms to appear.<\/p>\n<p>This is the third listeria recall in recent months, with <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/3184720\/brucepac-recalls-meat-listeria-outbreak\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>BrucePac<\/a> recalling nearly 10 million pounds of meat in early October and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/healthcare\/3137627\/everything-about-listeria-boars-head-outbreak\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>Boar&rsquo;s Head<\/a> recalling 7 million pounds of deli meat in late July and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/policy\/healthcare\/3153872\/boars-head-closes-facility-responsible-listeria-outbreak-discontinues-liverwurst\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>closing<\/a> its Jarratt, Virginia, factory in September.
