He urged Florida residents to reject these measures, arguing that the marijuana amendment would essentially create a state-run &#8220;cartel&#8221; that restricts \u2062personal growing\u2064 rights and primarily \u2063benefits a single marijuana company that has invested significantly in the campaign. DeSantis pointed to a single marijuana company that has contributed $100 million to the ballot initiative.<\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;People say it&rsquo;s legalization of recreational weed &mdash; that&rsquo;s partially true. They&rsquo;re saying you have the right to possess it and smoke it, but only if you buy it from them. He suggested as <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/donald-trump-nancy-mace-is-nasty-disloyal-and-bad-for-the-republican-party\/\" title=\"Donald Trump: Nancy Mace Is &#039;Nasty, Disloyal, and Bad for the Republican Party&#039;\">voters learn<\/a> more about these initiatives, they will be against them.<\/p>\n<p><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"><strong><\/strong><\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>&ldquo;As people find out how this Amendment 4 is written, the support goes down traumatically. You&rsquo;re seeing that. It is basically a proposal of abortion all the way up until birth for virtually any reason. It eliminates parental consent for minors,&rdquo; Florida&rsquo;s governor said. &ldquo;But then, something that&rsquo;s probably more radical than even what California has done, they replaced the requirement that a physician be the one performing an abortion with the term &lsquo;healthcare provider.&#8217;&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Florida&nbsp;reported <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/presidential\/3198035\/florida-breaks-record-early-voting-first-day\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"377,035 in-person early voters\">377,035 in<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/va-republicans-jump-to-in-person-early-voting-lead-model-shows\/\" title=\"VA Republicans Jump to In-Person Early Voting Lead, Model Shows\">-person early voters<\/a><\/a> after its first day, Monday, which set a record after its 2020 election turnout.
