Future president Barack Obama, during his 2008 campaign, said his first job scooping ice cream at a Baskin-Robbins in Honolulu instilled in him the virtues of responsibility and hard work,&rdquo; the Free Beacon noted.<\/p>\n<p>Further, one-in-eight Americans have worked for McDonald&rsquo;s, so she would have every reason to have mentioned it while running for previous political offices like California&rsquo;s attorney general and U.S. senator as a way of connecting with voters.<\/p>\n<p>In its internal memo to employees on Sunday, McDonald&rsquo;s said, &ldquo;Though we&rsquo;re not a political brand, we&rsquo;ve been proud to hear of former President Trump&rsquo;s love of McDonald&rsquo;s and Vice President Harris&rsquo;s fond memories of working under the Arches.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<blockquote class=\"twitter-tweet\">\n<p dir=\"ltr\" lang=\"en\">This is an internal statement to the McDonald&rsquo;s system from the US Senior Leadership Team regarding today&rsquo;s visit by the Trump campaign to a local franchisee in Pennsylvania.
