The poll, released Thursday, shows that approval among adults has increased to 45%, up from near-historic lows, while 55% \u2064still disapprove. A Gallup survey\u2062 reported\u2064 that 48% of the public trusts the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/its-happening-pennsylvania-state-legislature-files-resolution-disputes-statewide-2020-election-results\/\" title=\"It&#039;s Happening: Pennsylvania State Legislature Files Resolution -- DISPUTES STATEWIDE 2020 ELECTION RESULTS\">judicial branch<\/a> to a significant degree.<\/p>\n<p>Democrats are trying to make the \u2062Supreme Court a pivotal issue in upcoming elections, advocating for reforms like a \u200c<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/senate-democrats-to-push-binding-supreme-court-ethics-code-bill-as-gop-balks\/\" title=\"Senate Democrats plan to advance a bill enforcing a binding ethics code for the Supreme Court, despite Republican opposition.\">binding ethics code<\/a>, recusal rules, and\u2062 potential\u200b term limits for justices, particularly after the\u200c controversial 2022 ruling that overturned Roe v. Wade. \u2063Carrie Severino, a\u200d former clerk for Justice\u2063 Clarence Thomas and president of Judicial Crisis Network, expressed\u200d that the polling data \u2063undermines left-leaning narratives about dwindling public confidence in the Court.<\/p>\n<p>Amidst these developments, another Gallup survey showed that the media\u200d is among\u2062 the least \u2063trusted institutions in the political \u200carena, with the\u2063 judicial branch scoring higher in public trust. While a large majority of respondents support stricter ethics \u2062for justices, opinions on\u2062 other issues remain polarized. (AP Photo\/Mark Schiefelbein, File)<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>The polls come as Democrats have attempted to make the Supreme Court a key issue for voters heading to the polls next month, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/supreme-court\/3102868\/four-ways-democrats-demanded-biden-reshape-supreme-court\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>demanding sweeping reforms<\/a> such as a <a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/dimwitted-congresswoman-aoc-the-5th-house-democrat-to-call-for-clarence-thomas-resignation-or-impeachment\/\" title=\"Dimwitted Congresswoman AOC the 5th House Democrat to Call for Clarence Thomas\u2019 Resignation or Impeachment\">binding code<\/a> of ethics and recusal rules for the justices, along with controversial pushes for term limits. Democrats have stoked animosity toward the high court since the 2022 decision to overturn <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/roe-v-wade\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Roe v. Wade\">Roe v. Wade<\/a><\/em>.<\/p>\n<p>Carrie Severino, president of JCN and a former clerk to Justice Clarence Thomas, posted to X that the data indicated another &ldquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/www.conservativenewsdaily.net\/breaking-news\/leaked-state-department-memo-sanctions-black-lives-matter-flags-banners-indicates-support-for-radical-blm-agenda-report\/\" title=\"Leaked State Department Memo Sanctions \u2018Black Lives Matter\u2019 Flags, Banners; Indicates Support For Radical BLM Agenda: Report\u00a0\">left-wing narrative<\/a> about the Supreme Court falls apart.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>The same poll from Gallup also found that news media was among the least trusted groups among 10 civil and political institutions involved in the Democratic process, while the judicial branch scored as the fourth most trusted institution. The federal government and legislative branch were rated the eighth and ninth most distrusted of the groups, respectively, from Gallup&rsquo;s survey.<\/p>\n<figure class=\"wp-block-embed is-type-rich is-provider-twitter wp-block-embed-twitter\">\n<div class=\"wp-block-embed__wrapper\">  https:\/\/twitter.com\/JCNSeverino\/status\/1846593938385162484 <\/div>\n<\/figure>\n<p>&ldquo;This comes after the media has spent the last few years pushing a nonstop false narrative that the Supreme Court lacks public confidence and legitimacy,&rdquo; Severino said. &ldquo;It turns out the media needs to take a look in the mirror.&rdquo;<a href=\"https:\/\/x.com\/JCNSeverino\/status\/1846593938385162484\/photo\/1\"><\/a><\/p>\n<p>After the high court sent the issue of placing gestational limits on abortion back to the states with the <em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/dobbs-v-jackson-womens-health-organization\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Dobbs v. Jackson Women's Health Organization\">Dobbs v. Jackson Women&rsquo;s Health Organization<\/a> <\/em>ruling, approval in the Supreme Court sunk to historic lows, according to Marquette&rsquo;s databank, when just 38% approved of the justices between July and December of 2022.<\/p>\n<p>But that also coincided with an unprecedented leak in May of that year, when <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/1193183\/timeline-of-a-leak-supreme-court-justices-think-roe-mystery-could-be-solved-soon\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title=\"Politico published a leaked draft opinion\"><em>Politico <\/em>published a leaked draft opinion<\/a> of the <em>Dobbs <\/em>decision weeks before the justices were slated to decide the case.
