Harris was asked <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/news\/campaigns\/presidential\/3192673\/trump-campaign-jokes-fox-news-interview-harris-newest-ad\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>in her interview with Fox News&rsquo;s Bret Baier<\/a> about polling data indicating that <a href=\"https:\/\/www.marquette.edu\/news-center\/2024\/national-survey-finds-presidential-race-extremely-tight-enthusiasm-voting-high-democrats-republicans-low-independents.php\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>79% of respondents believe the country is on the wrong track<\/a>, prompting Harris to respond that &ldquo;Donald Trump has been running for office.&rdquo;<\/p>\n<p>Regarding Harris&rsquo;s interview on Fox News, which Baier conducted on his show <em>Special Report with Bret Baier<\/em>, Schoen suggested it did not help her at all, and may have possibly pushed some voters away. Schoen specifically cited Harris&rsquo;s failure to provide concrete answers as well as her &ldquo;confusion to perfectly logical questions&rdquo; for issues some <a href=\"https:\/\/www.washingtonexaminer.com\/tag\/voting\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\" title>voters<\/a> could have with her in this interview.<\/p>\n<p>Not everyone has been critical of Harris&rsquo;s performance, however, as marketing professional Donny Deutsch argued on MSNBC&rsquo;s <em>Morning Joe<\/em> that the vice president did &ldquo;a great job&rdquo; with the interview, adding that he was &ldquo;quite repulsed&rdquo; by Baier&rsquo;s &ldquo;attack mode&rdquo; performance.
